Ah thanks you guys, I can't wait, and yep anyone who wants to meet up at the airport can or whatever we thing works, for Raven and I, and I will be sure to be my best after the 8+ hour flight hehehehehe loads of time to plan, as it is may I am going to do the big trip. Now being from n. america myself, there are a few things that are on the MUST SEE list. Stonehenge, and Loch Ness are among them! LOL!! Hadrians wall, Offa's Dyke, Y'know, things that have been around since the beginning of time!


stonehenge is a waste of time as it is fenced off but Glastonbury tor is very beautiful and has been there for ever. Nice little town too. If you are going to drive miles then take her to Tintagel castle in cornwall. Absolutely stunning. Holy Island in Northumberland is cool..it's got a pirates grave complete with skull and crossbones,,yaarrrr, hum, where else..well York is my absolute favourite.

Just to echo a previous poster that Tintagel castle is just amazing, if you can get down there to visit then it's really worth a visit.

ooh yes. I've been to the Scilly Isles several times as a child, having mad parents who spurned a fortnight in the Greek Isles with the sole purpose of taking my photo while I puked on the boat. St. Martins and Bryer were my favourites..birds so tame, they'll feed from your hand.

Brayner...does that exist or am I just imagining a perfect holiday as an eight year old?

it's still up for negotiation. We like Somerset very much and my parents have got a cottage in Norfolk that I've never stayed in on the basis that it's Bill Oddie land.

Norfolk sounds wonderful, never been there. Been to Somerset a few times, it's all nice. Personally I would prefer the north of Cornwall.

At the moment things are looking good with the ex having the children at weekends, so fingers crossed he'll still be happy to have them. So, yes I should be able to get up to London over a weekend next year!

London and east is roughly where I will be hanging out. I have a couple other areas of interest that I hope to get to in the west. Yes I am so excited to be going.
