Thought the games tonight were realy good. Brazil are starting to show us that they haven't lost their magic and the Aussies managed to qualify for the next round which is nice

.
Looking forward to tomorrow I think it would be really funny if France got knocked out :wah: . Seems unlikely though as France are playing Togo. Shame.

Germany defeated Argentina today in what i thought was one of the best games played in the world Cup thus far. the game ended in a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation, considering that the "knock-out" round cannot end in a tie, the game went in what was two overtimes and eventually a penalty kick situation. As Argentina missed an early penalty kick, and Germany continuously made theirs, Argentina was forced to make their remaining two penalty kicks, as well as Germany needing to miss one, in order to tie and force extended penalty kicks. Argentina then missed their next penalty kick, which launched the host nation Germany into the Semi-finals for the 11th time(I believe). It was an awesome game, and I enjoyed it very much. Argentina deserves respect as they played very well, with the exception of what was obviously a chemistry melt down in the ladder parts of the match and some shaky/lack of substitution calls from the coach, but none the less are very impressive.
Its a shame to be knocked out of the World Cup in penalty kicks, but what are we to expect......play to continue until players literally collapse from exhaustion?
