PS Galbers - Actually, I'm wrassling the Irish Tourism lot at the moment - who are apparently of the view that the rural areas in your country's west are most perilous and that it would be unseemly for a lady to walk there, unescorted. Maybe they've never met any Aussies before... I am very sorry to say, I responded to them in reasonably direct Irish and possibly they are now aghast, appalled and flabberghasted. Well I haven't a clue what these Aussies are saying but I'm bloomin' glad they've stopped posting pictures of the nasty spiders - snakes are good though - I like reptiles (dated a few too)

That is a cool picture, the biggest ones we have are wolf spiders, they are pretty big, but not quite as big as that. They come into houses in the autumn. That is cool. Fair dinkum Mag. :-6

THAT SCARED THE WOO HOOOO OUT OF ME!

I've never seen anything as big as those fellows or gals here except for the tarantulas they bring into the pet shops. Most of them look like they need a hair cut.

being a chronic arachnaphobe ,my biggest nightmare is having them walk over me in my sleep,imagine when one morn as i washed my hair soon as i got up,a huge brown wolf spider washed from my head to the sink water!!!and he could walk on water!!!another time i was fishing ,i mixed my bait on an old tree stump and a huge adder slithered out,i wacked it into the water and it swam towards me!(it still was no match for the spider tho)

We Aussies are not wusses, Kathy! :sneaky:
