DING DING!! WINNER!!

Abbey, good going- it goes in the hole of a 45 rpm record to keep it on the record spindle. I was going to hold out for the name, but you still come in first for knowing what it's for. They have several names including "that plastic thingy" :wah: but they're officially called "dingbats."

OKAY TRY THIS ONE! :D

A person of the pagan or wiccan persuasions might use one of these in their everyday life. It has a special name. Some of these items may be plainer or fancier than others.

Oooo! You guys are close! It is a type of knife YZ, and Chookie you almost have it but not quite.

A hint: It's a ritual tool used by wiccans and pagans to cut herbs.

So it is a knife of sorts, but it has a special name.

If it's not an athame, it must be a boline.

Good going, Chookie and YZGI!

Yes! It's a boline! YZGI also had it correct, being a knife, but I was really going for its actual name. Also sometimes spelled bolline.

Next one, please Red

This is fun although I don't get here very often, I have learned a few things. Great game for grown ups who want to learn something new.

Unless you have a very short-term memory problem. Sort of, like me.

What was I talking about?

NEW GAME!!!

Thank you, 911. :)

Here's a new one for you all.

What are these medical instruments for?

Hint: modern day doctors no longer do or believe in this procedure and George Washington may have died from it.

Well, the glass objects are cups for sucking blood so I'd guess the metal implements are for cutting the veins.

Bloodletting was one of the main treatments on those days.
