I'm easily led up narrow garden paths and I'll hold hands with anyone at all. Though, thinking about that, not one of my vile offspring would ever walk down the road holding my hand after the age of about fifteen and inviting them to nowadays is guaranteed to make them flinch. Eww NO they say, and brush their fingers clean. Especially the lads.

What does that bring the count to?

I don't know if thery're judgement is up to par to be a MOD, due to some past experiences.?

just curious - do you buy your way in to qualify?

Initiation ceremony first, sleep with all the senior mods three times.

Next be stripped of any dignity they had, all brain cells removed along with humour, compassion and honesty.

They then go to a forest for some team building and more frivolity but everyone joins in for a mass orgy with oils and stuff.

Then you pay Tombstone $1000 and you have to pledge that no matter how much crap you have to sift through in the moderation area, you have to read each and every reported post and type an essay on your preferred outcome.

So rewarding:D:D:D

If you are going to have Mods then make them more transparent.. and tombstone should moderate them instead of giving them full control..

Why should the member have a vote? This is Tombstones site, he put all the hard work in to it, he gets to run it as he sees fit:D

Reminds me of when i heped to run youth football clubs, and teams,, the volunteers put a lot of hard work and time in to it, doing their best, yet the parents thought they should just turn up, stand around watching, but still insist they have a say in everything!:wah:

Jester;1036484 wrote: Whoa Horsie!

Ya'll reign it in here. I started this thread for fun, simple and pure fun, forum garden is not a democracy, its a tombstone theocracy, and he's a benevolent king, so let it go.

Ya'll sit down an let me tell you a story... everybody comfy? Good.

I long time ago in the garden, there was termoil, intrepid flamming and occasionally harsh discusssions that turned personal...

The Tombstone of old belived in a loose style of moderation, and letting folks work things out, and although that was a good idea for adults, there just wasn't enough adults playing in the garden to allow such a program to go on.

There were wars that make the likes of the recent small arguments petty to say the least.

I think the mods do an excellent job of policing the garden with the least intrusion possible, are they perfectly just? No, but nobody is. Do they do a good job for the most part? Yes they do. Next time your (not you specifically Ian) in the middle of an argument with a mod or another member step back and ask yourself what you'd do if you were the peacekeeper then be honest with yourself.

I was feeling goofy when I started this thread, I wanted to know the number of mods, and then before I left get a good party going in the pub between the top posters here (mods and non mods)... so I thought if I got the non mods out and then got the mods going in a competition we'd have a good party thread going, (hence the volleyball tourny goofy idea) and I'd get to leave the garden knowing everyone was playing as usual.

This place is important to me, off and on I have been here through good times and bad, Ive learned a lot about myself and others and how to meet people who I completely disagree with half way without compromsing what I believe.

Fuzzy and I dearly love each other but she's a staunch passivist and I a staunch warrior.

Ted and I completely disagree on matters of religion but if I ever met him I'd shake his hand and enjoy the very civil discussion we'd have.

Spot and I are the antihesis of each other politically but I have a great deal of respect for him even though he's wrong 90% of the time when it concerns the USofA.

This threads not about tearing FG apart its about joining it together even more than it is.

Look around at each other, if you have differences be honest, say what you need to say but then enjoy the parts of you that agree and celebrate those parts. And forgod's sake forgive each other and forget offenses as fast as you make them.

Thats what the garden has become, so let it grow on you, cultivate that idealogy and spread it around.

Ok, thats all kids, now go enjoy!Excellent post Jester and so well said......bravo!;)

Halfway seriously here, I will be off line till I leave tomorrow, hopefully to return in approx. 90 days, but we shall see, it could end early if barack is elected, it all depends on if there is a final hard push to kill as many terrorist as we can before the pacifist takes over.

At any rate, enjoy yourselves, enjoy life, kiss your wives and/or husbands, love your friends, and try to live peacebly with all others.

May God bless you with mercy, grace and the knowledge of the savior, The Lord Jesus Christ.
