Let's NOT clean up this place. Let's dirty it up a bit. I like a touch of seedy, even sleazy.

If I'm going to have a Pam's Place at all - it's going to be more in keeping with my fatally flawed, non p-c personality. Otherwise I'm so out of here.

As for moderators - I have never, as far as I can remember, found it necessary to contact any, even once, to fight my battles for me. I have once been told off for hotlinking a graphic. Otherwise I've had no dealings with moderators. I don't like moderators, or moderation - though some of the people who hold those offices here are my friends. BUT - the fact that they are moderators means that I view them differently now. I am not at ease chatting with moderators. Sure I have authority problems - I'm bolshie as hell, and like it that way.

I've had my say in another thread and felt much better for it. I've been stewing over stuff for a while, and went away. But I like ForumGarden a lot. It's very user-friendly, even though I really do miss being able to post graphics at will. Yeah.. know that was bad, very very bad, but it was heaps of fun too.

And yesterday an Air France plane carrying nearly 300 people fell out of the sky. **** !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Man, how awful !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God rest their souls. And comfort their families.

Morning coffee time - and I gotta get this show on the road.

A rider to my comments on moderation.

Moderation in my opinion should be reserved for serious breaches of TOS, dealing with external spam attacks and stuff like that. It should not intrude on normal interaction between members, even if this is at times acrimonious. People should sort out their own spats and not run to teacher every time their feelings are hurt.

Without all this internal moderation, we would live a bit more dangerously, but we'd be alive. Or if we got massacreed, at least we could say we'd lived. And it was exciting.

Well - here ends Pam's monologue du jour. Work calls.

It's a misty morning here - and the harbour has vanished.

Seemliness - blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Religion has given God a bad name.... blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

I share my penchant for oatmeal breakfasts with Hoppy

I love cheese like Oscar.

I threatened to mudwrassle Minks and muss her pink hair while drawing her attention to hash cakes in Amsterdam coffeehouses.

Ah yes, John Cleese and my very own GPS.. I might let him insult me later.

All in all, an interesting start to the day. And I haven't even had my coffee...

Gotta run, but I shall take with me into my workaday world a few visions including:

Mominiowa dancing a fandango in New York

Bill Sikes being seemly

Feisty Minks coordinating the color of her hair with her renowned pink cowboy hat

Lon in search of the meaning of life in peaceful New Zealand and killer cheese.

Oscar chasing Gordon Brown down a London street, at a brisk run, puffing on a ciggy and chomping a kebab, followed by a bunch of London's finest and a pack of small dogs.

Odie face to face with John Cleese (him indoors here was at uni with JC! ) who is considering serving up Bolivian hamster recipes at Fawlty Towers.

Catch yall later.

Been a bit of a funny day.

The mention of Lulu in the tongue biting thread brought back some memories including a get together in between flights in LAX. She wrote some fantastic, insightful travel tales - involving places off the beaten track. We are still sporadically in touch.

An amazing lot of threads seem to deal with food.. chocolate.. cheese... even recipes for sweet and sour rat. I'm putting on kilos just reading them. Just as well Cars is leading us all back to the gym.

I popped in to the Studio at the Opera House late this afternoon - there's a light show on, as part of the Sydney Winter Festival.

The Frame: Vivid Sydney light show

(Amazingly this is from a Sacramento site)

Well I did that. Spent an afternoon in the Italian area of Sydney. Fantastic. I could honestly have been in Italy. It 's a public holiday and everyone, their kids, grandma, grandpa, the dogs, babies etc were out for lunch. Talking Italian and just being totally Italian. Wonderful.

I come back and all hell's apparently broken loose. Long term members have been thrown out and pink marshmallow peace reigns.

PUKE

Lowest common denominator again.

To stay or go. I stayed away a couple of months. Heck, I've only been back a weeek...
