45 degrees, Mrs K !!! Gosh !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I made the dressing, Kay, with 1/4 cup olive oil, 1/4 cup fresh squeezed orange juice (half an orange), 2 crushed garlic bits and 300gm of crumbled blue cheese. Put in jar with lid and shake. Easy. And dinner turned out great. Much too hot to eat anything but salad, but it's cooled off a bit now.

Don't know if either of you are following Australian Idol?? The final is tomorrow at the Opera House - and I can see all sorts of flashing coloured lights and other activity going on there tonight. And last night too. Setting up? Rehearsal???? I voted for Hayley, the rock chick with attitude.

Was going to resume my painting today but just been to the Doc and got bad news and told to go home and rest:-1 Was suppose to have a fasting blood test but my veins kept collapsing so got to go back thursday for that

What am I up to? Just ordered thanksgiving dinner totally prepped & i just have to heat it up thurs. morning than had to call the market for a turkey carvel cake for daughter:yh_rotfl which turned out hilarious...bounced back & forth from bakery to customer service...thank god the chick was hilarious:yh_rotfl....cake will be ready on Wed.

We ended up having Maroccan lamb and couscous last night - which was a bit fiddly but fun. Tonight - it's boys' choice - which means a mixed grill !! (They choose, I cook.. grin)

Last night I ate all the honeycomb ones to myself

My daughter LOVES the new timtams. Especially the caramel and the ? tiramisu flavours. I can't eat chocolate, so can only sniff their deliciousness. Did you see the movie "Chocolat"? In Kirribilli, not far from me, a new specialist chocolate shop has opened. Everything made there.. and amazing. I sang the beautiful Viane Rocher reincarnation there my version of Olivia Ruiz's 'Woman Made out of Chocolate" and she danced, and then gave me a piece of chilli-chockie.... To die for!!!!! I am bewitched., ensorcelée!

Boy its so windy today..cant see the mountains at all, dont know if its smoke or dust

Had a long talk with my sister last night and she dosent want me to go back to the medical centre she wants me to go to our family doctor :rolleyes: so to keep her happy i am making an appointment in the morning

Havent painted the last 2 days as its been too hot but hope to get back into it tomorrow.....

Good thing if you go to your family Doc,your sister is right on.

I have had a slack day today,worked last night & again tonight.

Xmas parties are all happening.

One next week as well,only I don't party I work.

We go away for 2 weeks to the Central coast in January....lovely quiet place we go to and right on the water , so looking forward to it

Going for a trip down /up/along the Great Ocean Road.

Only been waiting for 23years to do that:yh_rotfl we were on the sheep station & it is hard to get away when you live out there.

He starts his 4th week on Monday & has found a part time job to do to fill on the time. He said it is all going well & not worrying him atm.:-4

Yes dust, but not the red sort. We got it here too. The Twelve Apostles are falling down fast, MrsK.. See them soon!! The Great Ocean Road is awesome!! One day I'll walk it.

Well havent done any painting for a week:eek: been tooooooo hot and also have had some health problems so been running around having stacks of tests done....get all the results next Thursday ....

Will get stuck into the painting tomorrow as today I want to do some shopping before all the school kids break up for their holidays and invade the Plaza....

That's awesome, Kaylene!! You must feel very proud of your achievement, after all that hard work. Time to relax now, and smell the roses (which by the way are looking pretty good here right now!)
