Hi Odie, hi Helen ! It would not be possible to take them to the small claims court as this happened more than 7 years ago, and I never sent a reminder within that time, so it would have been chucked out any way. Besides, at the time I lent her the money, we were all on very good terms (they were like an extended family to us). She was moving to the south coast, about a year after I had lent her the money, so I told her to treat it as a 'bon voyage' gift, to help her settle in. She told me she wouldn't accept that and that she would pay me back - well she certainly did that all right ! :wah: She only stayed on the south coast for about 10 months and returned back up here, because her daughters missed all their friends.
That family moved every year from the time we first knew them in 1993 !!!!

mite check the tide times in a minit and take the dog to the beach this afternoon.............
now working saturday nites instead of sunday, it was quite busy last nite so it made a change not to be bored rigid !!
went to see my youngest daughter yesterday, that made a nice change.
think its next sunday our british summer time hours come back, another step towards better weather.
got the dog booked in for a short back and sides on tuesday, im not going into detail as to why.................... but it involved a large bramble getting tangled round his tail and legs, him going to the toilet, a pair of scissors and a bottle of water before i could let him back into my friends car !!!:yh_sick:o
anyway, its time for his morning comfort break so i better get on with it.................

Hello everyone! :-6 My new business venture is ready to open the first of April. I have filled out so many forms my head is going to explode (oh, well there's nothing in there to make a mess.) Thank goodness most of the new business forms I could do online. Just waiting for one more permit and the machines to be shipped and I'll be ready to go (to the poor house) :wah: Hope you are all enjoying your day and I think I have muttered enough for now :-3

Thank you very much Odie :-4 I had the business planned about six months in advance but needed to research the "supply and demand" factor before moving forward. I needed to find the right locations that have a lot of foot traffic and then submit bids. So far, so good as I was in the beginning only going to order 2 machines but I'm having 5 shipped out. My feeling is if it works then good for me but if not at least I tried. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained" kind of approach is how I'm looking at it. Ooops...I'm muttering in Gill's Mutter hut

First I'd like to say I'm sorry that you are not feeling well. This is my third business venture and I've learned not to sweat the small stuff. The machines are being placed and set up by the companies that I've ordered them from. I just have to be onsite while they are being placed and stocked. After that, it's just a matter of checking the machines once a day and they are all within minutes from my home location. The biggest problem is the one being imported as I have to wait at the airport for that one to arrive. You are right about the tax year as it begins April 1st here. I hope the joke's not on me :wah:
