So, what is the most romantic scene in a movie?
Bothwell's Pub - Part II

I found this article that was very interesting!
Top 10 Most Romantic Movie Scenes
Titanic
Leo DiCaprio (Jack) and Kate Winslet (Rose) have such chemistry in this blockbuster. Who could forget such memorable scenes as when they are standing at the bow of the Titanic arms outstretched with ‘My Heart Will Go On’ being belted out in the background? Or Jack sketching pictures of a naked Rose. And how about the fogged up car window while inside it’s getting hot and steamy with some serious lovin’¦
An Officer and a Gentleman
Who doesn’t love a man in uniform? A romantic scene classic when Richard Gere (Zack) strides up to Debra Winger (Paula) at the factory where she works and in front of everyone lifts her into his arms to Joe Cocker’s ‘Lift us up where we belong’
Ghost
Raise your hand if you’d like to enrol in the same pottery class as Patrick Swayze (Sam) and Demi Moore (Molly). It’s such a beautiful and sensual love scene. And again, with another hit song to boot - “Unchained Melody
Just Like Heaven
Starring Mark Ruffalo (David) and Reese Witherspoon (Elizabeth). David has created the stunning garden from Elizabeth’s dreams. Elizabeth is overwhelmed by its beauty but still can’t put her finger on how she knows him (she has been in a coma). Then their hands touch, causing sparks and all her memories of their time together
come flooding back leading to a passionate embrace
Fifty First Dates
Adam Sandler (Henry) and the adorable Drew Barrymore (Lucy). Another scene involving memory loss! Lucy can’t recall Henry and her relationship with him, although she has been painting his face over and over again. Henry runs into her art studio, which is covered with his image and it all falls into place for Lucy.
Sleepless in Seattle
Meg Ryan is definitely a ‘romance hit’ actress. Meg has been in so many soppy movies she deserves her own special mention. Doesn’t a smile come to your face with the scene when Meg (Annie) and Tom Hanks (Sam) eventually get together on top of the Empire State Building? Other hits of hers include You’ve Got Mail (again with Tom); City of Angels (bring your tissues as well); and When Harry Met Sally (not necessarily romantic but THAT orgasm scene will go down in history)¦
Pretty Woman
Okay, okay so it seems a bit cheesy now but it still holds charm. It’s the modern day Cinderella story. Richard Gere (Edward) drives up in his limo to Julia Robert’s (Vivian) apartment, flowers in his arms and hoists himself up the fire escape ladder to steal her away once and for all¦
The Wedding Singer
A popular scene involves our favourite ‘cutesy movie couple’ again Adam Sandler (Robbie) and Drew Barrymore (Julia). Robbie serenades Julia on an aeroplane with his own touching tribute to her, a personally written love song ‘Grow old with you’.
Notting Hill
Julia Roberts (Anna) walks into Hugh Grant’s (William’s) book store bearing a gift, an original piece of art, and says “I’m just a girl standing in front of a boy asking him to love her Oooohhh go on Hugh what are you waiting for!
The Notebook
WARNING! Don’t read any further if you haven’t seen this movie and don’t want to have the ending ruined! Rachel McAdams (Allie) and Ryan Gosling (Noah) feature in this gorgeous movie that is a complete tearjerker. They play the younger version couple while Gena Rowlands and James Garner play the couple many years on. She is in a rest home with alzheimer’s and can’t remember their life together while he retells their love story from a notebook. Our pick is the final scene when she appears to remember who he is, they lie down together and decide in their hearts they can’t live a day without each other and during the night they both
pass away, arm in arm. I’m going to start sobbing again!

Kathy, Sweetie!!! I have a big yen for a peach bellini!!! Would you care to join me? If Mustang's still around we can get him one too - or is this a girl drink?
I had a lovely spontaneous afternoon yesterday with my sister at Manly. We sat on a rock in the sun and just chatted - pretty much till it got dark. Good to do this kind of thing sometimes.
School here breaks up on Friday, and Dieter will spend the two weeks of holidays with us in Sydney. There's a new dinosaur exhibition opened at the local museum and we can ride lot of ferries and trains and buses, visit the local library and read books - stuff like that. Not to mention building sand castles on the beach.
I owe you an email - just going off to write it!!!

Ahhhhh, I'm so happy that you had time with your "red haired sis." We need to spend time with our family. Does she still have her snake:wah:

That's my kind of bellini, Kathy!!!! WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And currently it's my favourite luxury beverage - which means I don't get to have one often!! The casino in Monte Carlo was the last time...how's that for namedropping!!! grin.
Tilleys is in Canberra and I'm in Sydney, but I expect they do a fine croissant there. Here, I've finally found a really decent baker - wonderful sourdough, ciabatta, foccaccia, and just plain crusty baguettes - not to mention pastries to die for, pies, tiny quiches..ahhhhhh... I gotta go eat!! Catch you later.
