Yes, Sunday's second question title gave the answer to the first question :wah: I'd already got it right so didn't have to change my choice, it was a nice confirmation that made me chuckle and hope some more of the questions did the same again.

You can tell by my score my hopes were dashed.

The most commonly found animal in Pakistan ?

I want to know how Spot got 10 out of 10, considering the answer the quiz gave.........or did I get something wrong.

I read the question wrong. A couple of others were very obscure.

That is what it said but I didn't want to state that, thereby giving away the answer for those players who hadn't taken the quiz.

I didn't see the 'not'...........................I was told in a PM......so as not to spoil the quiz.........now you have let the cat out of the bag Spot.

I guess it would depends on the definition of an 'animal'. If it simply refers to a lifeform, then it could be bacteria. If insects, probably ants. If mammals, possibly rats or bats. Then there's reptiles, or fish. The question seems too ambiguous.

There were actually four specific examples from which to select a response. Not all that complex.

If you're not a plant or a fungus or a slime-mold or a bacterium or single-celled, then you're an animal. Of the animals, 19 out of 20 known species don't even have a backbone so they're not protected by animal experimentation laws which I think is rather short-sighted.

Exactly! I forget what the four animals were and the country but the key word was "not" and the correct answer was kangaroo, which is not commonly found in that country. Not seeing the "not" I was trying to figure out which of the four was the most commonly found.

When I first looked, I think I also missed the 'not', but then the animal selection made little sense, so I looked at the question again.

I think the trick is to first look at the answers and choose the obvious one immediately. The questions are often perversely worded. As a fallback when you can't choose I suppose they have a place but reeding them does add to the time.

I OBJECT to the Queen Elizabeth question. I should have gotten a 10, not 9. The question is from 1977, so the answer would have been correct then, but not now. Probably there was no right answer on that question today, but the one given was NOT CORRECT. DISPUTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But the title of the question was History: 1970s Nostalgia: Do You Remember 1977?

You often need to read the title to give you the context of the question.

You can play the other quizzes on the site. You just need to set up a login to the Fun Trivia Quiz site. I just used my FG login and created a profile To play the FG daily quiz, though, I think you have to come from FG to get to it.

We have had players who were never members at FG but I agree, it's unlikely that you'll find that particular game within the fun trivia site without being given the link or seeing it on the thread.

Then, I think but with no degree of certainty, the game's administrator needs to approve you before you can play.

I've never approved anyone.

As far as I know, the game's in the public index.

The screen is so small, I have to scroll with finger and doing so, I managed to change two of the answers without catching it. Also adds a significant amount of time.

Enter or entry wound ?

Well, they're always talking about "Entry Wounds" on CSI, so bound to be an Americanism - but then, so are most online quizzes.

Gentlemen, Honorable Members, My Lords, Ladies. Your Majesty.

Today is the last of the year, tomorrow starts a fresh trivia game at the link in my .sig

December was played by a mere three players and it's extremely difficult to catch whoever is currently leading if only three people are playing.

This is an appeal for one of those things that occasionally gets reported when thousands of people turn up at a party. There's a word for it. A virus.

I'm not on any of these new-fangled social medial things like MySpace or Grinder but I'd be grateful if those members reading this today cross-posted this request to their FacePage or FlauntWall and issue a call for volunteers. Nobody playing the FG Trivia at FunTrivia needs to be registered at ForumGarden, they just need to register on the Trivia site and play daily. It takes under two minutes, there are ten questions (identical for all players that day) and I'm happy to switch the categories when a discussion here recommends it. With more than ten players the score starts to get more interesting. It's primarily a speed thing at that stage.

The trivia page is at Forumgarden Trivia - Daily Trivia Game

From what I've seen of these Virus events you're meant to say "you'll go blind if you don't pass this on to five friends in the next minute" or invite the recipient to pray, or say Amen. God only knows what it's all about, I give up sometimes.

For those who felt FG Trivia was getting too speed-oriented, we have difficultized the quiz list. There will no longer be a procession of sub-minute 10s. Monday is Movies day and I've nailed a 6 to the results table.
