Why don't centipedes and millipedes have knees?

Imagine if they had to wear little socks, imagine how many would go missing every week, what a nightmare.

Where do you suppose all those socks go? I bought about 20 pairs of socks for hubby & kids a few weeks ago and I can't find a single matching pair now! :-5

I got sent a new catalogue through the post today and it was selling two pairs of socks for £10! Ten pounds! What a waste of money! They'd be lost in 3 days!

Do you suppose they might be like homing pigeons and wriggle back, under cover of night, to the catalogue company? So they can sell them again? :sneaky:

One white sock accidently hid in a pile of coloureds and got washed with new jeans - so it came out bright blue!

Of course, THAT one hasn't disappeared! It glows like a beacon and is probably thumbing its nose at me when my back is turned. :rolleyes:

I always thought it was the washing machine, ya know? Eating up every other sock. But surely the machine would have backed up my now with so many guzzled socks in its pipe? But no, it still chunters on so is it sucking them down so fast they don't get stuck or are they disappearing somewhere else?

I could almost swear that there was a scientific paper that won an Ignobel Prize that researched into whether socks do actually go missing, there was definetly one on how Kansas is actually flatter than a pancake statistically speaking (its true, I was at the ceremony). But as to the sock question.

Its true isn't it? they do go missing don't they, were are they all? On a similar vein, my friend is convinced that a nice pack of luxury cheese slices he bought disappeared from his kitchen yesterday, convinced. He thinks that there is no rational explanation to explain thier sudden disappearance, and if it can happen to socks, cheese can't be far behind on the "mystery" scale.

Oh, just because I was writing about him, maybe snooze would like a peek at this pic..............

What kind of peppers are they? I dont like banana peppers and habaneros are far too hot. I love jalapenos and chilis. Cherry peppers are alright.
