Been very busy with other things including my new vending business. The business is doing better than I expected and it's a constant flow of ordering supplies and stocking machines. One machine has paid for itself already and I might get another one.
Helen: When I was in my below the knee cast the only thing I could wear were the bottoms to hospital scrubs. They were comfortable but sure as heck looked ugly :wah: One day I couldn't stand my hair not being washed so I knelt down over the tub to wash it. All went well until I couldn't get back up :wah: I had to crawl down the hall and grab the stair banister to get myself back up :-5
Glad you don't have much longer to deal with this and hope your feeling okay.:-4
Gill: I saw all that ash and it was nasty. All those poor people trapped and couldn't get flights out. What a horrible situation. I'm so glad Rex didn't suffer any injury from his fall down the stairs. He's just such a beautiful and precious dog. I hope you also are doing well. :-4
Odie: I'm still waiting for the fudge and coffee :wah: My cat, Babe, who is 14 years old now has gone deaf. She's healthy and happy but I have to watch now when I approach her so I don't scare her. Hope all is well with you. :-4
That`s great one vending machine already paid for!
is there anything left for Helen, Gill and I.
I`m sorry to hear Babe has now gone deaf.
just pat her gently, its what I do when mine are sleeping.
will the dogs bother her.........(I cannot use a question mark until I re-start my computer:-5)
I have no idea why this happens, I also cannot use a dollar sign.:-5
you had fudge today.:-5

So glad you managed to get the livestock out of your hair :yh_rotfl fancy drownin' the poor little buggers ! Hey, I hope you remembered to move the dirty dishes out of the sink first by the way ! :yh_rotfl I wonder what Wally thinks of his mum cocking her leg in the kitchen !

I bet he's a bit miffed, as he's not allowed to do that !!!!! :sneaky:
The weather here has been wall to wall sunshine, and I went for a walk (on my buggy :wah:) with Chris and Rex in a lovely park called Colwick Park, that has lots of trees (specially exciting for Rex !), a couple of lakes (one a trout fishing lake), and a very convenient ash path all through it and round the lakes. We didn't go too far because poor old Rex would get knackered - I was fine, sitting on my buggy :yh_rotfl and Chris would walk for England if let ! We saw cormorants, mallard ducks, great crested grebe, the awful prolific Canada geese, swans, all sorts of other birds, and it was really enjoyable! The air was fresh and clear and it really felt like we were miles out in the countryside, not right on the edge of a city! :-6:D

mornin everyone,
we've got the sunshine back today, just had a call from my freind and she said its still quite chilly out there at the moment but by the weekend its supposed to reach 22c.............
i bet you had a good time yesterday gill, i love walking too ( when i can:D )
my favorite places are woods and moorland, must hark back to my days of living in the new forest..... the cliff walks here are wonderfull of course but i have to be careful with the dog and not go too near the edges :-2
got to have another leg cocking session in the kitchen this morning

not being able to eat too healthily isnt doing my skin and hair much good right now and the amount of tablets im having to take is........ how can i say it............. impedeing my digestive system

so im feeling very bloated and uncomfortable
time for some breckfast, that involves another leg cocking situation while i butter me toast

Good morning everyone! :-6 Started out nice here but now it's clouding up and rain is headed this way:-5 I guess I'm lucky that I found the property I have now. At first 23 acres in the woods sounded scary but it's so peaceful and quiet here. Wildlife and the various birds are awesome. I took Midnight out this morning and found another pond on the property. That makes three that I found so far. One is so cystal clear and big enough to even swim in. :guitarist
Helen, that's a whole lot of leg cocking you're doing :wah: Shame there isn't a hidden camera in there so we could watch you :yh_rotfl
Odie, thank you for the coffee you left me this morning but I've run out of fudge!
Gill, that sig picture of yours still cracks me up :wah: Hope all is well with you and give Rex a hug for me. :-4

morning everyone.
well it rained last night !!!! the first time for nearly 3wks !!! just as i knew it would cos my youngest daughter came over on friday and cleaned my flat from top to bottom and washed all my floors
now its going to be just as bad as before by the time the dog has been out and got wet
anyway, i got her to leave the mop in the kitchen ( it usually lives in a little recess outside by the door ) so if i wring it out well enough at least i can keep some of the mud at bay

and not have to worry about walking on a wet floor.............
ive got two darts presentation nights this week to pick up my trophies and i cant go to either cos theres stairs to be contended with at both venues and i cant do it............ never mind, theres always next year.
ONLY 12 DAYS TO GO NOW

That reminds me of when my mum had a smooth-haired fox terrier called Penny. Penny pulled a claw out of her front foot one time, and the vet fairly heavily bandaged it up. So when she moved about on hard surfaces at home it sounded hilarious - pat, pat, pat, thud - pat, pat, pat,thud............and so on. Then after several days, and she had got used to it. The vet removed the bandage, and the wound was healed. Penny was walking around with her front leg flying up every time she needed to lift it for walking. With the weight of the bandage suddenly not there, it took her several hours to get used to it !:yh_rotfl
I changed the pic, cos this one is more like 'Penny' except that this one is a boy ! :wah:

Hello all ! Not much has happened since yesterday. Chris went to snooker last night, but was beaten by an in-form best friend of my son! I watched a bit of TV, we had some visitors during the evening (while Chris was out!). There was a nearly full bright moon, very few clouds in the sky.
Today is quite warm, cloudy but with quite a few sunny periods when the temp noticeably rises! There has been no rain and none has been forecast for the daytime at any rate.
Hope you are OK, Helen, as I've not seen you online yet. Maybe you're having trouble getting online again grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

hiya,
did a bit of pottering about here today and got a few things cleaned up. it knocks the stuffing out of you so i settled down in me chair afterwards and woke myself up snoring about 2hrs later
we got an extra trophy from darts last night, the best sportsman award, for being fun to play and giving the other teams a nice welcome to our pub !!
the top team in the league get a big shield for coming first and every year they give it in someones name and this year ............. it was my name.... :-3
i was dumbfounded to be honest so i phoned the chairman and asked why this morning............. its because im one of the few old school players left these days that turn up every week and quietly get on with the job in hand and help out where i can
thats made me feel so good today......................... BUT the first thought that crossed my mind when she said that was........ what a pity other people in my life dont think the same way !!!!!!

Congrats on the trophy Helen!
I've had a shitty few days, just seem to have been rushing around organising things and feeling constantly frustrated. My best mate ended up in hospital in the early hours of monday morning due to kidney stones. A huge crack appeared in my windscreen over the weekend and when I did the trek to the hospital to deliver nightclothes etc to her, it grew by 5-6 inches! Managed to get a lift to go see her last night as we weren't allowed in when we dropped her stuff to her. £75 later and I have a new windscreen so at least that's sorted. Now waiting on the insurance company to sort me rear end after a woman drove into me back in February

just at the moment where I could see the end of term, a lull in study where I could concentrate on trading the car in, she rear ends me  so trading in the car now waits on the insurance company to pull their fingers out :-5
I should be revising, exams start 11th May

aaggghhh

I've had a shitty few days, just seem to have been rushing around organising things and feeling constantly frustrated. My best mate ended up in hospital in the early hours of monday morning due to kidney stones. A huge crack appeared in my windscreen over the weekend and when I did the trek to the hospital to deliver nightclothes etc to her, it grew by 5-6 inches! Managed to get a lift to go see her last night as we weren't allowed in when we dropped her stuff to her. £75 later and I have a new windscreen so at least that's sorted. Now waiting on the insurance company to sort me rear end after a woman drove into me back in February

just at the moment where I could see the end of term, a lull in study where I could concentrate on trading the car in, she rear ends me  so trading in the car now waits on the insurance company to pull their fingers out :-5

hi BB,
your friend has my deepest sympathy :-1 i think would rather have quads alone in a mud hut somewhere than got through that again
sorry, i did get your pm and had every intention of replying but my attention span dosnt seem to be working well at the moment and the bloody bordom is making me sleep like im possessed !!
ive not been out of the house for ten days, my friend usually takes me shopping or just for a quick sight seeing trip round town at the weekend but she works six days a week, 8-30 til 6-00 and neither of us could muster up an ounce of strength between us to do it this weekend :-2
thats the trouble with living down here, a car is a must have not a flippen luxury, i think a few of those people expecting us to vote for em next week need to live like we do for a few weeks and see how bloody hard it is !!!:-5

Oh BB, it never rains but it pours eh? Well now that lot has happened, you are due for some better happenings - like good exams !!! Yin and Yan. I'll keep everything crossed for you! But do take some time out to just chill Mrs grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
All best wishes to your friend - she must be agonising in that hospital, so let's hope they can sort her quickly and get her a lot more comfortable!
Take care

You'll be OK Helen, so long as you don't do anything daft, either before the plaster is removed, or afterwards - and that's an order! It really isn't long now, just have a little more patience

(hey, I nearly put patients :yh_rotfl oops....). Did you say they were going to give you one of those 'boots' that the footballers have when they break a bone in their foot? Well at least you'll be able to walk a bit, carefully. Maybe a good idea to have a walking stick or something like that as well, till you get into the swing of things. You'll also be able to play darts without having to c o c k your leg ! :yh_rotfl
