Hiya Helen! Good on yer Mrs !

If it's going to be the warmest day so far, this year, I aint confident in that as it is cloudy here at the moment. However, the sun is trying to break through, so maybe a bit later it will get nicely warm - it was forecast that the temp would be up to about 22 C, or 70 F .

It's a pity that darts is over till September, now. Typical, really, as you have been unable to play since your accident grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Well I hope you aren't too fed up and bored, it's not long now !!!!!! Just enough time to get reading another book :-6:D

Hi all! Odie, BB ! Yep it looks like rain today, and the south west will be getting wet soon, if they are not already :(

It is just typical that the temp will drop very nicely in readiness for the Bank Holiday !

The blossom on our flowering cherry is absolutely gorgeous, at the moment - a fabulous pink, and masses of it! Yep, there's gonna be big wind this weekend, just so that the blossom is all blown away ! :-1 I think I had better get a pic of it, just so I can remember how gorgeous it was - briefly !

Good morning everyone!

Helen, I'm so glad you got to go out. How are you feeling today?

Gill, I hope you get to take a picture of the cherry tree before all the blossoms get blown away. Those trees are just so beautiful!

Good Morning everyone!:-6

It always rains or its cold on a long weekend here.

- I would love to see a pic of your cherry tree in blossom!:guitarist

There is one here down the road that looks stunning, plus the forsythia trees are in bloom, I have a new one and its so pretty as its colours are yellow.

We have a fairly large flowering cherry tree in our front garden, and a forsythia in the back garden. Unfortunately the forsythia is past it's best, and I didn't take a pic of it when it was at it's most spectacular bright yellow blaze of colour. :(

There is a lilac bush just near the cherry tree, and that is nearly out, but I think the wind will blow all the cherry tree blossoms away this weekend so I may not be able to get a pic of them both out together, which is a shame because the lilac is a gorgeous deep purple. We have another lilac in the back garden, which is a lighter purple.

It really is a very pretty time of year! :-6 :D

Those pictures are just beautiful Gill. I would love to have a cherry tree but I doubt it would survive here. I have very sandy soil and am limited as to what trees I can plant. My forsynthia bushes are all in full bloom and the lilac bushes have yet to bloom. I hope the lilac bushes made it through this last snow as they were just starting to bud. :-5

did you see my pic of the forsythia, what a shame yours has had the biscuit.

oh my, I enlarged your photos, those cherry blossoms are intoxicating.

the wind will blow them off.:-5

I have a white lilac bush, omg, you have to smell the aroma, its wild, but I only ever get 4 flowers per year, its 5 years old and I think its because it doesn't get enough sun........when they bloom, I bring them indoors and wow, the aroma is just unreal.

Yes I did, and our forsythia was so spectacularly yellow, when it was at it's peak, that you could hardly see any green!

Hello Helen!

Don't you dare even try to go out in the chucking down rain! Just ask your granddaughter to make sure she gets some pictures for you. All you need now is to slip and fall :( You've come this far so please don't risk hurting yourself. Make sure you bring a camera with you when the plaster is removed so we can see your hairy leg :wah: Sending you (((Hugs))) but only IF you behave yourself! :-4

How will you get there? Is somebody fetching you? :-3

Should be good, if the weather holds out! :-6 But DON'T take risks Mrs !

As regards the drummer -

Why don't these silly sods get practice pads ffs! You'll have to ask him to keep his practice sessions down and within a sensible time - not after 10pm for instance. There must be kiddies living somewhere near, who go to bed early, and people who need the quiet!

If you get any lip from him, or no co-operation, don't tell him what you are going to do, then go see the environment dept. of the council and make a complaint, or ring them up. Keep a log of times he practices and for how long, and how much stress, annoyance, disturbance he is causing you. Might be worth enquiring of other neighbours to see how they feel about it. These flaming drummers should sound-proof a room ffs. They must surely know how anti-social their activities are going to be to neighbours! :-5

Does he sound like a beginner, or does he sound as if he's been playing drums for a while?

Last night I posted a reply to this! I must have not pressed the 'submit reply' button ffs. Oh well, I think I said I was glad you managed to get to see her in the end. They don't stay children very long do they? :(

Hello all ! :-6 :D

Thanks for the coffee, Odie :wah: Just what I needed :D

It's nice and warm outside, today. The sun is shining, so I'm hoping that me lilac comes out soon so I can get a pic of it with the cherry blossom as well! Keeping my fingers crossed that the wind doesn't get up! :-5

It doesn't get enough sun.:-5

You really need to smell the white ones...the aroma is intoxicating.

My hubby reckons you may have a soil deficiency, as well as lack of sun (which wouldn't help). If it's in a pot, it may need a bigger pot - it may be pot-bound and that would cause a lack of blooms. If it's in a pot, can't you move it into a sunnier area?

Ee by gum ----------- you can smell the aroma from here ! :yh_rotfl

we parked in front of the hotel cos i couldnt walk from the car park and stand for too long, it was bitterly cold, blowing a gale and despite this, the girls managed to keep their hair in place and stop shivering long enough to have their photos taken.

there were some stunning gowns in varoius styles and colours ( and not much of them in some cases :o:rolleyes: )

they arrived in all sorts of transport, limo's, old style cars, a double decker red bus and even a tractor !! (the more unusual the transport the more likelyhood of getting yer piccy in the paper lol )

they never had that in my day !!!:(

thanks, I will fertilize at the end of the season.

It's not in a pot, its a bush in the ground.
