Starting when my son Dan was 9 years old, we wrote and recorded a spoof 90minute radio show.
It featured music, interviews, sketches, news (including the shipping forecast of course) and general larking about in a style that some of you will be au fait with. Friends, family and even press-ganged passers by all appeared on what was imaginatively called "Radio Kram & Dan FM".
My mom had a recipe slot where as "The Cuisine Queen" she rustled up such culinary delights as Hedgehog Testicle Stew (the vegetarian option just used nuts)
We did another 2 of these shows each of which took a month to record and edit, at 18 month intervals.
The idea was to create a snapshot of the moment and immortalise our nearest and dearest, some of whom are sadly no longer with us.
My daughter Lauras cameos, starting at 1 year old and burgeoning through shows 2 & 3 (where eloquent sentences were edited one word at a time), eventually led to her co-hosting show 4, "Kram & Dan & Laura FM.
Due to artistic differences and egos entering the arena, Dan was headhunted by the BBC leaving his sister to front the eponymous and final "Laura Show". All these shows had jingles and here's one from the 4th show.
And before you ask, yes, it is me singing.....

Well, I am married to a hot guy...
But I think it's more the thread title... haven't a clue what a "wav file"
is so I probably just passed by thinking it was 'puter stuff which I
know nothing about! HA!!!
Good thing a certain party who shall remain nameless (SNOOZE) bumped
her own thread...

Kram, that was very very silly. Some people do have cute toys though.

Would this take up too much space/bandwidth? Or is it just a dumb idea?
Use media player or some other sound editor to convert the wav to mp3. The file size would be much smaller.
I'm game.

I really enjoy threads like this, and, had a lot of fun in the thread Galbally started too. It would be great if more members posted a voice message (hint hint)
Anyway, this is a short excerpt from a film (movie)....adding a touch of reverb not only adds to the reading, it's helped to partially disguise my blocked nasal passages.
....anyone know what movie it's from?
.
Highlander, very good, I must think of something that has an irish lad talking and get a scrip extract I will do one.
