You're right AFTR about appreciating what we do have and cherish that. No sense in complaining about gasoline prices....if you need it, you will buy it regardless of the cost, same goes for food.

AFTR....why don't you stop by the Pubnutters Inn some time. :) There's a wonderful family there which would welcome you with open arms and make you feel right at home. ;) We could call you, "Along For The Ride Pubnutter." :D

Kathy Ellen is the social director and lines up all kinds of activities and food. :-4 Duck is our Chef, Chris is our Chief in charge, and our lovely Southern Belle Hope is there too, plus many more good folks.

Hope to see you soon! :-6

Just how brave are you?;)

Hubby cut my hair for me.....again. He does a good job. He's no hairstylist...just a good ole country boy. :) He cuts and I do the styling. It's shorter and has more bounce. The length is just below my chin. I have fine straight hair, so it's a good cut for me.

Ever changing times

http://new.music.yahoo.com/videos/--2160558

I see the clock upon the wall

But it don't bother me at all

These are ever changin' times.

In these ever changin' times

Everything is going so much faster it seems like I

Want you in my life, in everything I do

Wondering if the dreams I bleieved in can come true.

Caught in between, it comes back to

You and me runnin' out of time

Gotta find me a better understanding

Everyday keep forgetting what's mine

But it don't bother me at all

These are ever changin' times.

In these ever changin' times

Everything is going so much faster it seems like I

Want you in my life, in everything I do

Wondering if the dreams I believed in can come true.

Caught in between, it comes back to

You and me runnin' out of time

Gotta find me a better understanding

Everyday keep forgetting what's mine

Gotta find me a way less demanding

And we're holding on so tight together

All of our lives.

And I, I had some big idea

So much of my life still not completed, hopes and fears

Watchin' it change into something new

Wondering if I'm going to find the answer lovin' you.

I see the clock upon the wall

But it don't bother me at all

These are ever changin' times.

Always brave and trust her completely to cut my hair. Has been doing so ever since we married and does a fine job at that. ;) I trim her hair too when she asks me. She has long straight brunnette hair which just shines. :-4

Comments? Let's see, for me I'm not a clock watcher. I see a day as having 24 hours in it. How I choose to spend that time is making sure that there are no would've, could've, should'ves in it. Make the time to smell the roses. :yh_flower

Never get lost in the demands of life. Make time for yourself, then you'll be more available to your family. Times don't change, we do.

Did you ever hear the saying, "I wish you enough?" It means wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them......

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.

I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.

I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.

I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.

I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.

I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.

I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye."

It takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them"

Take the time to live!!!

I wish you enough, my friend! :-6

Words of wisdom, there, Mustang. Thanks for you comments.

Nice to see you and Hope................my buddies.:)

I'm thinking of writing a country song. So here goes.........

She's a PT Cruiser Mama...

She love's to ride the roads.

She's a PT Criuser Mama...

She never carries loads.

Don't give her diamonds..

On that she will pass..

Just give her some money...

For a full tank of gas.

She's a PT Cruiser Mama..

She loves to ride the roads.

She's a PT Cruiser Mama.

She never carries loads.

Just jump in the back seat,

When she's all set to go

If you want to be with her,

Then she just can't say no.

She's a PT Cruiser Mama,

She loves to ride the roads.

She's a PT Cruiser Mama

She never carries loads.

She loves to ride the backroads,

And hit the city streets.

She might make a turn

At a crossroad that she meets.

She's a PT Cruiser Mama,

She loves to ride the roads.

She's a PT Cruiser Mama,

She never carries loads.

Her home's just a pit stop,

Her job's just a way

To keep her Cruiser going

For another drivin' day.

She's a PT Cruiser Mama,

She loves to ride the roads.

She's a PT Cruiser Mama,

She never carries loads.

Are snacks an American frivolity? I think so. We only need to eat 2 or 3 meals a day.........whats with all these chips and cookies and candy bars and crackers?

Snacks are supposed to help us curve our hunger til the next meal. Do we really need that? Snacks are fun food............but can we live without them?

Just asking.

At work today, hubby and I were getting ready to eat lunch together. We sit at a picnic table outside. There was a slight commotion in the parking lot. some employees were pointing and looking in one direction. A little baby deer who still had his spots was lost in the parking lot and scared. Hubby and some fellow employees got together to catch him. My hubby was the one who carefully grabbed him up and carried him to freedom off company property. The poor little deer was calling for his mama, and hot. My hubby carried him to the end of the property and gently lifted him over a fence to a wooded area and set him free.

I wish I had my camera. I would like to think that there was a happy mother and child reunion later. Moments like these are so unexpected.......and sweet.

Luckily in the region where I live I get chances to see stuff like that daily. Nothing more precious to me than when a a baby colt's born stumbling to its feet and mother right near trying to steady him up. Same goes for cattle and sheep.

Hi Along, CP and TM,

Loved your stories about the deer.

I live near in Noo Joisey near the Garden State Parkway and growing up we never saw deer near the highway. But a few years ago there was so much development along the forested area near the parkway that the deer had to come close to the road to feed since their habitat was diminishing. Naturally there were many killed by fast moving cars.

Now it seems better...don't know why...but don't see any deer along the parkway...hope that's a good sign not a bad one:-6

I thought I would pick you up Saturday and we would go visit Weeder. We can bring a picnic lunch and some wine and sit together and chat. Maybe she could she use a visit from some of her friends here. Any one else is surely welcome. She wouldn't have to go to any trouble for us..............we just want to spend some time with her.

Good to see you, Hope.:) We bump into each other now and then on the other threads. I'm fixing chili for supper and maybe some corn bread to go with it. It's hot outside...but cool inside via air-conditioning. Hubby will be home from work soon.

I'm bidding on E-bay and the item will be ending in 30 minutes. It's a cute 2-piece blue outfit for summer and will only cost me around $10 (including shipping) if I win. Do you use E-bay? I go there off and on when I have the funds.;)

Your supper sounds delicious!:)

Our central air-conditioner went on the blink late last summer, so we got a window unit for the kitchen/dining room area and a smaller unit for our bedroom. Til we got them installed, it was quite hot and muggy indoors. I feel for ya.

:) I also live in the South.........Georgia. I'm one of those "dam yankees" as I am originally from the North. My ex-husband is from Georgia.....and my current hubby is also from Georgia. I enjoy living here in this rural area at this time of my life. The pace is slow and peaceful. I like looking out my window and seeing cows grazing across the road and trees swaying in the breeze and birds and rabbits.I like the faint sound of the occasional train whistle that goes by about 1/2 mile away.

I do miss my family at times. They all live up north.
