I sent Chez & her family taffies too, but not the same as KE's. Also sent her Ferrero Rochet's (to die for), marshmellow peeps and stickers for the girls.

OMG.....................I cannot believe how many beautiful cards and packages I've gotten from my FG friends in Oz, England and PA.....

I am soooooooo sorry that I haven't posted since my packages arrived, but school has been way too busy:rolleyes:

I have to pm members to thank them for their beautiful gifts and thoughts, but I thought I'd thank you first here.

Thank you Floppy and daughter for your beautiful card...sending (((hugs))) you way...:-4

Kaylene and Oscar....:-4 Mega hugs for all of your thoughtful gifts...wow. I can't believe that you sent me all of these treasures....

Kaylene:-4 I absolutely ADORE your Aussie tote bag. This bag is a beautiful navy blue with the flag and name of Australia on it. I put all of my school stuff in it and nearly had it ripped off my arm by the teachers and kidlets....:yh_rotfl They were fighting over my pressie....like I'd give it to them...duh......Oh, I do LOVE it:-4, and I LOVE your aboriginal coasters and postcards...they are gorgeous. I've just had a conversation with Mags about the Aboriginals...so fascinating....

And lastly Kaylene....:-4 ....When I opened the brown box and found this gorgeous Aussie wallet with an etched picture of the Sydney Opera House and Sydney, Australia etched on it I burst into tears. It was so beautiful and reminded me so much of my Dad....He was in hospital for years when I was about 4 yrs. old. During that time he tried to work productively and made jewelry and wallets. This wallet that you sent me was just like the one that my Dad gave to my Mom with all the beautiful etchings.

I don't know what to say Kaylene to express how much you've touched my heart. I'm holding all of your thoughts next to my heart and crying now because you've brought back so many beautiful thoughs of my parents.

Thank you sweethear so much. I will pm you after I've thanked everyone here on this thread:-4

And now I'll thank Oscar....:-4

I can't believe what I got in the mail today...a card from my oldest brother!! We haven't talked in a few years, but he is a really bad alcoholic and you people know why I have to stay away from him. I need to call him to see how he's doing. It really caught me off guard, but in a good way. :):-6

We used to be so close and even worked together for 7yrs. He is technically my half brother, but to me he is my brother. :-4

Hello Dear Oscar,

I am apologizing profusely to you for not replying sooner. I've been run down a bit and felt a 2nd flu coming on. I wanted to thank everyone so much for their lovely cards and pressies. I posted to Kaylene 1st since hers was the first package that arrived. Then I was going to post to you, Floppy and Pam.

After I finished posting to Kay, I decided to close my eyes for a few minutes....and that was the end of me. I've basically been in bed, literally sleeping for the most part since Friday. I've just awoken, showered, and am having tons of coffee that I've missed since Friday.

My home is a disaster....dust bunnies are running rampant, washes aren't done, and there's no food in fridge....but, who gives a flip,eh...as Odie would say:yh_rotfl Hope you'll forgive me:-3:-4

Your package was amazing and I appreciate everything that you've sent to me. You are one lovely person Oscar, and I'm so happy that you and Peter are a part of our FG family. I can't believed you've wrapped everything in such gorgeous paper...I hated to open it.

I absolutely love the beautiful scarf...believe its color is close to magenta... :-2...better make sure that Fuzzy doesn't see this...she'll want my scarf:wah:....my eyes deceive me sometimes with colors. It's fabulous and will go beautifully with my new, black leather jacket.

Happy to say your candies survived as I was too tired to eat them before:wah:, and I loved your picture frame.....Yes, it's in great form...no broken bones..I already put my niece's pic in it and put it on my mantleplace. It looks terrific. Your chocolate coins, beautiful cards and postcards are so special.

Thank you so much Oscar....I feel very lucky to have such good friends like you in the garden. You are an extremely loving and generous friend. I feel blessed just knowing you:-4:-4:-4

((((((((Pam))))))))) sending you lots of hugs for a smooth move to your new abode...try not to work too hard. Wish I could cyber over and help with the move.

I also received your package on Friday....wooooohoooooo, I love the Fado dvd, especially since it has Amalia Rodrigues on it. I'm delighted to hear some of the singers that I haven't heard before. I basically stick to listening to Amalia and Dulce Ponte since I know them the best. I will listen to your dvd after my radio talk shows are over this afternoon:wah:. I'm so sorry about the perfume.....that would have been lovely to have some French perfume...bummer...

Thank you sooooooo much Pam. I think of you so often:-4 Hope the family is good...your little man is growing up too fast, isn't he:-4

Floppy, I received a beautiful card from you and daughter. She has beautiful printing;) Thank you so much:-6

I'm sending on a little package this week for Floppy and daughter, Shellbell and Carol:-4. I've had them ready to go, but didn't make it to the post office this weekend.....the darn place closes at 4, and I can't seem to make it by then. Keep a look out for them.

I'm so sorry to hear your not well. I had the flu lately and i know how you feel especially about the tiredness, it just over-whelms you doesn't it?

I was worried about the picture frame and the little glass butterfly's on it getting there in one piece so i am so pleased to hear it survived.

The (candie's) are 'Thornton's chocolates' something of a delicacy here in Britain. They used to be hand made but i'm not sure now. We have shops that only sell those chocolates and i love them, especially the truffles.

Glad you liked to scarf, i got one for myself as well.

Can you post a pic of you wearing the silly Father christmas Earrings i sent as well? I can just imagine you in those :D

I hope you feel better soon. Try losts of hot water, honey, brandy and aspirin.

I got Odie's card today. We don't have a delivery on a sunday but due to 2 dogs and a fairly new puppy, for some years, we have had a mail box outside the main fence. Our poor Postie has been biten four times, noy by my dogs but elsewhere. He is so nervous that it's kinder that he need not come in the gate and up the path. Parcel delivery is hilarious. Postie sneaks in the gate, rings the doorbell, runs at full speed back up the path and gets behind the gate. There is no need, the worst he'll suffer is a good licking and a ball thrown at him by Mulder.

So i forgot to check the mailbox yesterday but today got ODIE'S card ......HURRAH.

Thankyou Odie and the lovely things you said and all i can say to those words is 'Ditto'.

If you haven't got a card from us yet it is because i sent you a little parcel :sneaky:

To cheer you up with all your visits to the Doc. We have just had an announcement here that our Postmen are sticking to that quaint old british Christmas custom and that is to go on STRIKE. :-5:-5 The buggers.

I think your parcel should have been on a plane before they get chance so you should get it it in plenty of time. I hope you like the goodie's as well my little alien buddy.

We are really a lovely bunch here arn't we?? :D

:-1I still haven't mailed out the last packages that I said I would way, way over a week ago. They have been ready to go, but I was sick for 4 days, and missed mailing them out last Saturday. Our post office closes at 4, and I just can't get there by that time.

So, I'm mailing them out this Saturday morn and you should have them after Christmas..I'm so sorry that they're so late:-1:-1:-1 My heart was in the right place though:o
