catapult [ˈkætəˌpʌlt]

n

1. a Y-shaped implement with a loop of elastic fastened to the ends of the two prongs, used mainly by children for shooting small stones, etc. US and Canadian name slingshot

2. (Military / Arms & Armour (excluding Firearms)) a heavy war engine used formerly for hurling stones, etc.

I chose the larger definition. :wah:

Oh, Thank you so much for posting this song Mustang. It is soothing and beautiful, and so is Nana. I've been a fan of hers for eons and thought I had all of her music. I've never hear this lovely song.

I've gone to about 20 of her concerts in New York, Atlantic City and Philly. She's so warm and friendly. She will talk to everyone after her concert, hold your hand and give you a hug for your kindness towards her. It's mostly European people who attend her concerts...don't think too many Americans copped onto her:confused:

Unfortunately, she's now retired now:-1

Thanks again Mustang. Your post mean a lot to me:-6

Glad you liked this song Kathy Ellen. :-6

When I searched for her songs I read that she was born in 1934 in greece and speaks many different languages. What you say about her, she sounds like a very warm person.

I have always appreciated Nana Mouscouri. I saw her the first time on UK TV when I was a child ! Hey Kathy Ellen, the poor woman must be 76 now !!! It would be remarkable if she still did touring and singing at that age ! Yes she has a lovely voice, and may she live healthily for many more years. :-6:D

That song she sung is originally an instrumental guitar concerto, and has a beautiful melody. I was so surprised to hear a vocal version of it! The original guitar concerto is one of my favourites !

September 24, 2009 — John Williams perform, the Adagio from Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo, on the guitar.

Sony 53359 Released 1993

Recorded November 1992 at the Royal Alcazar Palace, Seville, Spain

Producer: Nathan Waks

Engineers: Uli Schnieder, Andreas Strange

(A Sony Classical/London Weekend Television/RM Associates co-production)

With Orquestra Sinfónica de Sevilla

José Buenagu Conductor (on Vivaldi and Rodrigo concerti)
