And why not - I can be civil when I try.

Playing devil's advocate, I can see an alternative interpretation of the post volume trend:There will always be a couple of months in the fall when activity drops before picking up just before ChristmasA forum site will grow while its moderator team is less than 8-12 months old and will increasingly diminish at all other times. There's very little on the graph that doesn't follow those two statements.

If it's valid, FG could replace the current moderators with a set composed entirely of ex-members who have never moderated FG in the past (which excludes Anastrophe who'd not want to anyway, LadyCop, Carolly and RedGlitter):Valerie

FrankyThey'd work hard at implementing light moderation rules, they'd bring back their friends, and since Spanky Franky doesn't own or run 24 hours any longer poaching is no longer a problem.

I haven't really noticed much difference in the moderating system, and now I'm wondering, "Why havent I?" or "What have I missed?" Or is it that it just hasn't affected me?

I still view myself as an outsider here, I am not a natural 'joiner'

But putting my six pennorth in, one of the things that winds me up about FG......is threads like this one.

Navel gazing angst.

Have I said too much already ?

And bugger me, even I have joined in.

I expect after achieving the unique record of being ejected as a ForumGarden mod twice, with administrator bans both times, there must be some underlying flaws in her social skills. I can think of five offhand, but the thread's very carefully avoiding Compost and I'm certainly not going to weight it in that direction.
