Today I found out that one of my favorite people is coming to substitute at the school I work with long term. Funny enough, she's a speech pathologist.... so lots of kids will stop lateralizing /s/ and their /l/

Today we were having lunch in a restaurant, & 4 tables away was this woman (sitting alone) who loudly yacked on her cell phone all through her meal & everybody else's around her to. It was annoying to say the least. Well as fate would have it, we both finished & decided to leave the restaurant at the same time. She crossed the parking lot & low & behold her cell phone fell out of her pocket & fell in front of on coming traffic & she didn't notice it had happened. Sure enough the car ran over the phone, & then I said oh Ms, you dropped your phone! :D :D :D ;) (I know, . . I'm BAD!)

I got to sleep in an extra 1/2 hour today!

Yahoo!

Oh, and I'm doing the big thing today-I'm getting my braces to fix my one little old tooth that went crooked after all these year.

I will be the spectacle in class tomorrow, I told my students, and they think it is very cool. They have been looking for 2 weeks at the back brackets that are on, asking me every hour to open my mouth, and commenting, "Oh, that is cool-no more candy for you!" Ha-ha!

They just will not understand why I am not opting for colored braces, but want white one so they will be invisible! I actually have one student that has flashing lights on her braces-I told her, they must look pretty silly when you're eating! Very annoying at first in class, these flashing blue lights coming out of a kids mouth.:wah:

Flashing light braces!!! :wah: Now that is nuts. Why would anyone want something like that, must be in desperate need for attention or just plain crazy.

I wonder how she turns them off, does she have a switch or something for them, because that must be so annoying at time surely, having this flashing light coming out of your own mouth!

Hahaha now that would be funny. Just imagine being with a group of friends, and having your mouth ringtone playing as someone is calling you. Everyone would get out their phones, and say "not me" and then u would open your mouth and take the call. Oh I bet they would just stare at u in disbelief!! :wah:
