I also live in the South.........Georgia. I'm one of those "dam yankees" as I am originally from the North. My ex-husband is from Georgia.....and my current hubby is also from Georgia. I enjoy living here in this rural area at this time of my life. The pace is slow and peaceful. I like looking out my window and seeing cows grazing across the road and trees swaying in the breeze and birds and rabbits.I like the faint sound of the occasional train whistle that goes by about 1/2 mile away.
I do miss my family at times. They all live up north.
My hubby and my in-laws are my family here.
Hello Along:-6,
How are ya.....good I hope.....reread one of your last posts...that would have been great...2 good friends chillin out and listening to jazz....What a lovely, cool night that would be.
You're from Georgia....what a lovely State. Can I ask where your original home is up north?
Oh, I would love living in a quiet area just looking at cows grazing and birds chirping. I love living at the beach, but it get toooooo crowded during the summer. When I first moved here 10 years ago, it was so quiet I could go out at night to look for comets and bring my coffee up to the beach at 4 AM without another soul around except for the fishermen.
Now, no matter what time I open my front door I see another face staring back at me. Sooooooo, I'm just trying to enjoy my life here and not worry about crowds.
How hot is it in Georgia now.....
