Jainscott, Jainscott have you any links?
'Yes sir, yes sir, one I think
Scotts of Stow - I think their wares
Are a bit pricey but just who cares?'
Oh dear, Jainscott, wadda you know?
Mustang's caught you so off you go ! :p :driving:

Black sheep is non pc, Gilly. Smacks of racism, colourism, animalism.
Wool, woolly thought - sounds like an intellectual disparagement, gold fish put down
Baa baaa colourless creature
Have you any [removed]
Baa - sounds like bas in French... Down.. down with colourless creatures... GOSH
Or bas - stockings... sexual innuendo.. Down with your French stockings..
Yes sir yes sir three bags full - feudal, kowtowing to the uppper class.
Three bags - three - a threesome. Disgusting!!!
Bags - who are you calling an old bag? Bag lady.
Full - drunk again
Down with you, you stockingless French dark complexioned animal or fish
Do you have a single clear thought
The people's flag is deepest red, and you will get yours
You drunken old homeless female person

What was the question?

Indeed, Gilly. Nursery rhymes are fraught with tortured meaning - or can easily have tortured meaning thrust upon them.
The meaning of meaning is a can of worms or a bowl of cherries depending on whether or not you've had your coffee.. or maybe a box of chocolates...

G'day Clodders!!!!!!
:sneaky:
Hey diddle diddle (dildo?)
The cat and the fiddle (cool cat, alley cat, financial iffy dealing)
The cow (fat lady - it's not over till the fat lady sings)
jumped over the moon (person waving naked rear end)
The little dog laughed ( see spot run) to see such sport (french joke about peeing agains the wall rather than wanking - vive le sport)
And the dish (sexy girl - nana in French) ran away with the spoon (your guess is as good as mine but obviously she was no better than she ought to be)
Hey you know maybe I should start another thread on the real nursery rhymes??

'Snazzy' - sheesh, so it does. And I can't even dong Abbey on her head fer upstaging my goddessness here, as she'd probably ban me for violence, and I'd have to end up writing my own bloody requiem.
Here lies dear Pam - misunderstood
For plying violence in this 'hood
She couldn't find a rhyme for 'jazzy'
But Abbey could - how bleedin 'snazzy'!!
Clod could have saved the day, but has he?

G'day AFTR!!! Hope you're having a great weekend. It is true, sometimes I feel a bit like a Cat in a Hat - I am not a big fan of Dr Suess - but my family did somehow get truffle trees from his writings or else we invented them in parallel. The clan developed somehow its own polyglot argot..
lesing knigs beneath the truffle treess for instance in aussiepam fam speak is reading books in the garden.
My kids all speak this fluently ....
But let us by all means speak praise as you suggest, Clodders - and as for the rest.. yes...

Poor mrdann!! The dreaded ban
Unmanned this man
Departed him from garden clan
And changed him into also-ran!
Poor mrdann!! What was his plan
He came. He saw. He kicked the can.
Undone before he had began

I must say there's nothing quite like a post-mortem elegiac massacree before brekkie on a sunny Sinny Sunday.
This time one week ago I was hurtling headfirst down the creatively mogulled powder of Rolex at Steamboat Springs, Colorado - also in sunshine. It's really quite nice to ski when you can see.

Some of us are not only dumbfounded, Amythest, but we're bewitched bothered and bewildered as well, not to mention flabberghasted, appalled and aghast. It goes with the Garden - we poor will-o-the-wisps who are led astray by faerie lights and the occasional eldritch screech of the banshee have no chance.
Therefore we join in a merry dance of death and can be seen, in moonlit silhouette, boogieing our way through the mists of surreality across the thin ice of the new day.
I hope this answers any unspoken question!

To put you in the picture about seemingly inexplicable bannings.
Just to clarify this 'banning' business. It must seem strange that one minute there's a new member, then the next they are banned. Well rest assured that if a new poster is banned, it will be because they have contravened the rules of Forum Garden. In most cases it is because they post an advert or promote something that could directly benefit them financially - also in most cases these 'newbies' register with FG purely to sneak in a free advert which is not fair to those who legitimately advertise and pay Forum Garden to be able to do it. You will appreciate that paid advertising helps to finance this site, along with paid memberships, in order to keep FG going.
That is why some newbies seem to be banned as soon as they make a post. Moderators are very mindful of these tactics, and remove the various adverts, promos, as soon as possible - hence you may not understand why these people are banned suddenly. The evidence is deleted immediately it is seen by any of the mods.
The moderators are instructed by admin. to delete such posts, or signatures, and ban instantly, the poster responsible for the attempted cheating. There are more and more of these cheats trying it on, and it is a good job that we have a reasonable number of moderators from different countries so that cover is kept up as near to 24/7 as possible, regardless of time zones.
Gill
