I've always been emotional, but on my own, I'm good at hiding my true feelings but songs, films, soaps etc can and often do get to me.

I don't mind them much, especially when there are long lines at the traditional cashiers while the self-checkout kiosks stand empty.

Update on the Self Service crisis...........

First thing today I approached the Customer Service desk in said super market and asked about the duplicated entries on my receipt, I signed a bit of paper and she returned the over payment. I asked "Is it as easy as that?" "Yes" she replied smiling. "So does this happen often ?" "Yes" she said.

Just last Friday I had to sign a form 3 times for some petty cash, and had to get it counter signed by a manager, in order to purchase a new tap.......but if I get duplicated items on my receipt they throw the money at you for a single signature.

I asked who I should pursue a complaint with concerning there being no manned tills after 8.00PM........"That would be Mandy......she's not in today".

Later I saw the second in command and asked the same question......he told me I should see Mandy.

I shall email the company directly.

Great to chat with you again. No, I didn't move down to Florida. Maybe someday I will, but most of my family is still living in NJ.

My life is wonderful now. I've retired and am enjoying life to the fullest now.

Yep. We're doing good. Just finished moving back out to farm lands, and enjoying it. sit on the porch till evening, watch the sunset, and the spend an hour or so stargazing. Wake up in time to watch the sun rise over the fields before settling in to work.

It's because of the referendum. Push the Leaver has a different connotation nowadays. I have to hold on all the time

It's just another Americanisation (N.B. "Americanisation" spelt with an 's', not a 'z'). With the lowering standard of U.K. made T.V. & hte increase of American Dross, the younger generation are learning from their environment - i.e. American T.V.

One thing that really grates on me is the pronunciation of 'Year' as 'Yur'.

I pronounce it. "Leeva'...... ~shrugs~

If i was a new zealander id say. 'Luva' lol

It's been 32 C today in the Midlands, and we've been warned that the temp. will be a cool 22 C over night. Gad zoots we're under just the cover of our duvet and two fans goin' all night now !!! No I refuse to sleep in the nuddy on top of the bed tonight ! The temp. at the moment here is 29 C ! I do not do HOT ! :-6 :-5
