I got this by e-mail......"usual rubbish" I thought but it struck a note so I thought I'd share :)

"A holy man was having a conversation with God one day and said 'God, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.'

God led the holy man to two doors.

He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in.

In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man's mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished.

They were holding spoons with very long handles, that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful.

But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths.

The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering.

God said, 'You have seen Hell.'

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one.

There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man's mouth water.

The people were equipped with the same long-handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, 'I don't understand.'

It is simple,' said God, 'It requires but one skill. You see they have learned to feed each other, while the greedy think only of themselves.'

It's estimated 93% won't forward this. If you are one of the 7% who will, forward this with the title '7%'.

I'm in the 7%

Remember that I will always share my spoon with you!

Friends are the family that we choose for ourselves "

Do you ever feel like climbing a mountain ? I dont mean the kind of mountains our employers make us climb. Or if you happen to be a leper and every once in awhile a finger or foot falls off. Thats not the kind of mountain Im talking about. Besides Im annoyed at the way lepers are always complaining.

Oh...look at me...my arm just flew out the car window. God ! Get over yourself why dont ya ?

Im talking about the rock kind of mountain, stone. The kind of mountain that brings out the Grizzly Adams in a fella.

I did some hiking in the Smokies a couple of years ago and we hiked up about 7000 ft to see a waterfall. When we got near the top the trail got really narrow. Really narrow and I started freaking out because it was a sheer cliff straight down. I grabbed onto a tree that was growing out of the side of the mountain and I couldnt move. I was frozen. Other hikers that passed could see the terror in my eyes and they laughed at me. I could hear them laughing and snickering.

Eventually my wife convinced me to let go of the tree or she was going to leave me there because she was getting hungry.

Thats the kind of mountain that will make a man out of you.

OMG, Barbie turns 50!!!!!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Barbie is having a golden birthday. So in honor of the big day, 50 models hit the catwalk during New York's Fashion Week wearing outfits from 50 American designers. Many of the Barbie styles are headed straight for Bloomingdale's flagship store - but they'll only be on display, and not for sale.

Oh, I am so excited. I got 3rd place in the haiku Toku in Japan. I get a prize and everything! Oh, this makes for a happy day! Someone got the list early and e-mailed me my placement, out of 800! Yahoo!

I feel like Ralphie's dad in the Christmas Story-they said the five runner ups get a piece of Japanese art (first prize was a trip to Japan) I wonder what I will get?

:)

My husband thinks I will get a pair of chopsticks...............:wah:
