Still pulling over time shifts at the hospital since everyone is sick :-5 Granted, the money is good, but I'm tired

Tonight and tomorrow are the the pits since I don't get home until after midnight and then have to get up early to take care of my own pets. Shouldn't complain since so many people are without jobs right now but it does get a bit much at times

Hello Slip! Wow, what a night last night I had. The roads were covered with ice and cars and tractor trailers were all over the side of the roads. Some cars wound up in ditches and we had ambulance calls one right after the other. It was freezing out (below zero) and the winds were gusting up to 40 miles per hour. I'm still trying to get warmed up :wah:

You would think these idiots would slow down when they see the roads are a sheet of ice :-5 We were having trouble responding to all the calls since the ambulance had to go slower than normal. What a wild night it was

It sure does Slip. The scary ones are the big tractor trailers that flip over. We had two of those last night. One guy had to be cut out of the cab of the truck by the fire department. Just because they are driving a big truck, they think they can go fast in any weather. Stupid.....:-5

It's the same here as well. Since the major highway is nearby, we get all the traffic coming off the highway into the city. Sometimes you can wait more than 20 minutes just to get off the exit ramp into town. Then we have the people who come from Canada to shop here. It's get for the local economy but around this time of year, I tend to stay away from the mall and shopping centers. Thousands of cars and trucks all trying to get nowhere fast :yh_rotfl
