I realy do feel that legalising hard drugs would create a massive increase in usage and would create an epidemic of drug use. Bad no matter which way you look at it. What we have to do, In my opinion, is to hit the sellers and suppliers as hard as humanly possible. Stop the supply. In that way, I think we're pretty much heading in the right direction to curb drug use

I'd forgotten how dim some of the ex-posters were. Re-reading this thread has brought it all back to me. My word but some people are such a waste of fresh air, they really are.

It is a damning indictment. The group of world leaders, including former Presidents of Mexico and Colombia which are blighted by the trade in illegal drugs, says urgent changes are overdue.
Their report says current policies to tackle drug abuse and the crime that preys on it are clearly not working, but result in thousands of deaths and rampant lawlessness.
It calls for an end to the 'criminalisation, marginalisation and stigmatisation of people who use drugs but who do no harm to others'.
