I live in southeast Georgia which is close to Savannah. The summers are lazy, hot and muggy. There are old small and medium sized towns, farmland, forests, and country roads. We are closer to the Atlantic Ocean than to the Mississippi River.

The winters are mild; it seldom snows here. Some points of interest here are Savannah, Tybee Island, Okefenokee Park, Kellers Flea Market. I hope you do get to come visit. You've got to have some good ole southern cookin' and warm southern hospitality.
I'm one of those "damn yankees" who was born in the north (Illinois) and moved down here in Georgia to live after marrying. It's home to me. I've been told that I talk like a southerner now. :wah:

Well that was some spooky co-incidence, you being from "Georgia" & my first trip to the states planned there. Even more spooky, i watched a T.V prog once about "Savannah" & remember seeing these beautifull old colonial buildings & wanting to go there. It just seemed to be so "UNspoilt" by modern life.
My husband is a believer of re-incarnation. Not sure about that subject myself, i have mixed views but i always felt drawn to "Georgia". The same as my husband is drawn to Greece.
I once thought if i was re-incarnated, then i think i must have lived in "Georgia" in the cotton fields way back as i am so drawn to the history of the slave trade back then.
I loved the films such as "The Color purple". Did you see that one? Very sad, really affected me. "Oprah Winfrey" was an amazing actress in that one.
Maybe when i get there, it will feel strange finally being in the one place i vowed to visit before i died.
What do others think of re-incarnation???
