Record breaking Gold medals. An awesome show for the Skating ( speed, long distance and figure) Skiers, BI Athletes ( Ski and Shoot, Canada was 1.53 seconds behind!!????) Lets not forget that crazy Luge track!

It was grand wasn't it. I loved the opening of the closing where they got Katriona LeMay Doan to light her arm of the Coldrun, that was a hoot.

I believe in the spirit of global good we Canadians pulled of a class act and gave people all over the world something to take their minds off the glumness of the past couple of years.

We are not much of a bragging nation but stuff like this makes us feel good and it's also a good feeling knowing we can make the world smile.

As for the critics and naysayers... well such is life it is always easy to find negative but it takes real bloody effort to see positive in trying times.

YAY Us.

To NBC's legacy with the "Heidi Game" they have now added the "Seinfeld Closing Ceremonies". You gotta love the repetition of history.

I have to say that I hadn't watched many of the games...

I did happen to see the last girl to go down the luge...She were British and I wanted her to do very well, not because she were British but because I'm that nice!,..and she completed the course in the fastest time to win Gold!...
