i had my thyroid glands taken out !! :-2 i was warned about me voice and that i could have lost it altogether but no one told me about the rest of it !!

it was a bit of a mistake to read up about it cos i've got a vivid imagnation :rolleyes: and at 3am this morning i was already applying for a guide dog and making room for an oxygen tank in me handbag :rolleyes::wah:

so im going to the docs to see what he has to say about it !!

Hi Ducky....been sorting me car prob out...well whats exactly wrong with it....its the Battery...only fing is its a Toyota 2.5 Previa Peoples Carrier and a big Battery so gonna cost an arm and a leg....still the good news is...it could have been worse:(

Oh yes, we had a senator from Congress say the other day that "the recession is all your heads people". Really! The sheer arrogance of this rich a$$hole. Guess he doesn't have to worry about school tuitions, dinner on the table, laying people off, ect.

The three main parties are all the same now. All grey and couldn't organise a p..s up in a brewery ! They are all liars, conmen/women, corrupt, self-serving arrogant illegitimates. My fervent wish is that the people of this country gain a little courage, and vote for a party which is prepared to get Britain back for the British, rekindle our industries, our farming, our law and order, our health service. Get us out of Europe before Europe finishes the job they started - making the British Isles their landfill site for all their rubbish, and turning us into a third world country. !!!!

got a bit of a tellin off from the doc :-2 cos i told him what id read on that site and it was for a different type of thyroid problem.

told him my concerns and he said its only been four weeks, what did you expect so i said, thats just it no one told me what to expect, reply was youve a magor op, had a big pipe shoved down your throat and i think you are doing remarkably well. it takes at least three months to recover from that sort of thing !!!

as i was leaving, he said, just one more thing............. stay away from that ruddy computor !!:D

Helen, my mum's thyroid gland packed in after she gave birth to me, exactly same thing happened to her sister on her 3rd. Anyway, im 41 now and mum is still working full time doing shifts of 6-2pm 2-10pm and nearly every week she does a Saturday, she was 65 in May and wants to carry on working another year.

She takes thyroxine and cortizone and will have to for life. She has had a few rocky times when she wasnt being monitored properly and her meds needed to be upped and it took a while for her to feel 100%, breathless and no energy mainly and headaches.

My mum looks amazing for her age and has as much energy as a girl in her 20's so im sure once you have gotten over the effects of the surgery, you will be back fitting fit and raring to go...:-4
