A small city of about 20,000 called Pottsville. It's about a two hour drive from Phila., which I see you are from.

Helen I am just having tests done on my thyroid.

I am going to have a lazy day today till 2pm & then I am babysitting :-4

My phone has been out for a few days so the techie will be here today to fix it,so they said:rolleyes: it's been playing up for months.

Weather is a bit warmer this morning won't be long & spring will be here.

I have dug over my vege garden ready to plant some tomotoes,still a bit frosty yet.

What a beautiful sunny day we have had today:-6 and now the sun has gone down over the mountains and its turned veryyyyyyyyyy cold enough to drive one to have a scotch

morning everyone,

bootiful day here for a change, got to hang some washing out then put all the shop cardboard and potato bags out for recycling. we do all the glass and cans as well.

everything comes wrapped in masses of plastic these days but theres no where for us to send that.

as you might have gathered, recycling is one of my " things ". what i do is just a drop in the ocean but i've got 13 grandchildren and it worries me what sort of world their kids will grow up in if we dont try to do something about it now.

gill has her political soap box, i have my recycle one :rolleyes:;):D

Helen, I've just joined a group on the internet called 'Freecycle' - where, instead of just sending stuff to the tip, you can find somebody who would use what you would have thrown away, ( instead of wasting it by sending it to landfill! ) I'm just finding out more about the group. There are centres all over the country, and in fact all over the world ! You can also do 'swaps' and all for free ! Now that is what I call recycling :-6

Sounds like you needed a heavy duty tractor battery. Carol it depends on the output capability of the battery - how much your vehicle calls on the battery for.

We always get the heaviest duty battery we can for our big car. Gives it more oomph for starting, particularly in cold weather. Is the battery you took out the original one when you bought your vehicle ? :-3 :-6

Ye it was a Toyota one the old one....they checked at the shop etc and said it was ok....if I went direct to them we are talking REALLY mega bucks:(

Same with Volvo's. If we need any spares (If ! ) we try to get 'pattern' parts, and OK they may not last quite as long as original Volvo stuff, but the less expensive cost outways all that ! :driving::-6
