HI:D well im nearly all packed for my week at the van, my leg is better than i thought it would be this morning, managed to wak the dog anyway. Its still painful and stiff, but hey we woman know how to handle pain;)

On a more serious note.....rang my sister tonight and my BIL is now in Pallitive care:-1 I am hoping he hangs out till I get there on Saturday:(

Good morning all. Yesterday afternoon hubby & I were sitting on our deck and out of nowhere we see this huge spiderweb go across the yard. It had come out of some tree branches. It was incredible.

Cr*p, daughter is coming home for the day so I will have to "actually" do some housework today. I prefer to do housework later in the day when everybody has gone out and the bigger kids are awake. Yeah, I make them clean the bathroom:wah:

Luv, we are in our 6th day of this heatwave with no end in sight. Got the air on, but still tired from Saturday night talking to Kathy Ellen till 2am.:wah:

I can believe that! I'm a bit concerned about my father, who is going to be 97 tomorrow. He's been absolutely LIVING with the a/c going. Also, I hope the a/c doesn't give out at the Assisted Living place where my 87 year old mother lives!

It's been bad but I haven't heard of any brownouts yet. If it doesn't let up soon I think we will be seeing them.

We had a brownout for 1 1/2 hours a couple of nights ago. Lucikly it only lasted that long!! I still haven't heard the cause, but it wouldn't surprise me if it was from everyone running the a/c!

If that is so, why the hell is it called a 'brown out' ffs ? Why not a 'power out' or a 'power cut' like they have in the UK ? Or am I barking up the wrong tree and it means something entirely different, like somebody cr---ing themselves cos they aint got no electricity ! :-3 :yh_rotfl
