Hello everybody !

Hope, H, we'll all miss Kay so much on here :-1, maybe she will pop in from time to time. but Kay will still be on MSN, and there's always email to keep in touch.

There's Heather and Kay, both with severe worries in the RW, our hearts go out to them, and any others who are having problems at home in whatever way.

All the very best to you Kay, and I'm sorry that you have found you just can't hack it on FOC any more, for certain reasons. Take care my dear friend XXX -1

Everyone's life is a picture,

Painted by only one person,

Life itself.

The picture shows everything you're doing,

And everything you have done.

But sometimes, Life gets tired.

And doesn't want to paint a picture.

So, Life sends problems to stop you,

If you give up, your picture is finished.

If you keep going, so does your picture.

So the question is:

How soon do you want to see your picture?

Do you want to see it now?

When it could be so much more?

Or later, when there's so much more than before?

It's your choice,

I'll keep going.

Woke early one morning,

the earth lay cool and still,

when suddenly a tiny bird,

perched on my window sill,

it sang a song so lovely,

so carefree and so gay,

that slowly all my troubles,

began to slip away,

it sang of far off places,

of laughter and of fun,

it seemed his very song,

brought out the morning sun,

I pulled back the covers,

and crept slowly out of bed,

and gently shut the window,

and crushed his freaking head,

I'm not a morning person

This is for Kathy Ellen ! Perranporth, Cornwall. I think this was taken from what used to be the Droskyn Castle Hotel, at the top of cliffs over-looking the gorgeous Atlantic rollers. Perranporth is now, and has been for many many years, exceedingly popular for surfing, and they have international competitions here.

I visited Perranporth as a teenager and stayed at the place called Droskyn Castle Hotel, I spent most of my time riding horses and taking out holidaymakers on escorted horse rides along the lanes around Perranporth. Early on during my stay there, I made friends with a fella called Jack Polkinhorn, who owned a string of all sorts of ponies and horses and ran the horse rides for visitors. I used to get up early each day and help fetch them down to the village from their field -- bare back. The saddles, tack were kept in a big shed where people started their rides, so we had to saddle the horses and ponies up after we brought them down from the field. I used to ride one pony and have a string of two or three others on leading reins, as did a couple of other girls. We did the same at the end of the day, but in reverse of course ! That is when I learned to ride bare back, because we used to have a bit of a mess around in the field after we'd returned the horses, great fun ! :wah::-6 During the day, whenever there was a quiet spot, Jack used to tell some marvellous true tales, which I loved listening to, told in his wonderful cornish accent ! Other times, early and before people turned up on the beach, we would have a jolly good canter along the magnificent sands ! I'm afraid my mum and dad saw very little of me during that 2 week holiday !



At night, if the weather was a bit stormy, you could hear the boom and crump of waves as they pounded into the caves under the hotel. That was a bit frightening to me the first time I heard it, but I was OK after one of the staff of the hotel explained what was going on :wah::rolleyes:

Yep we bought an algae eater and two zebra fish, but the water has gone cloudy so I cant take pics yet cos they wont look good. Apparantly cloudy tank is common and its bacteria etc and will die down soon,:D

Carol is angry and disappointed at certain things, I am as well, but it is nothing to do with FOC, I hasten to add.

Phew its gone hot and humid...Had a downpour of rain just as we got home..Dogs now shaking by the side of the chair, must be thundering somewhere...bless him x:-4
