awww, we're both gonna be gone a lot today! what will they do without us?:wah::wah::wah:
i don't go to yard sales I much prefer the auctions, i've gotten so i really enjoy the bidding. It strange sometimes at the farm equipment auctions i'll be the only girl in a group of men bidding on something, but i tell ya i think it's an advantage, a lot of them won't push the bidding when it's aganist a woman and sometimes i can get things for less.:wah::wah:

Yep, know about the depression glass. I buy a lot of gemstones at the auctions. Picked up a pair of burma round rubies for $40! They were nice and clean and perfectly cut. I made stud earrings out of them.
that sounds great! i got my good china that i use in the dining room at an auction too!
one thing i will NOT buy second hand though is clothes, i don't want anything anybody else has been wearing.

Hope, never been to an auction but my brother & SIL go all the time and their house is filled to the brim with really nice stuff.
As for clothes, I go to a medium/high end place for Quin called Kid to Kid. It's a chain and you might have one near you. You'd have to look on their website. It's good quality clothing and alot of name brands for way less.:wah:
BTW: This coffee is supreme this morning.

Nah, I don't buy second hand clothes either. I don't yard sale. I too, am hooked on the bidding action. It can get exciting! :-6
yeah the auctions do get exciting and if you want something you can't hesitate or it will be sold and gone!:wah::wah:

that's right,
i don't think we have a kid to kid around here but there is a consignment shop called once upon a kid, but i've never been.
i know a lot of women around here with babies buy all there baby clothes at yard sales and stuff but i said from the beginning i'm not gonna do it!:wah:
i guess that's one of the reasons some people around here think i'm a bit of a snob!:wah::wah:

And I'll bet he looks really cute. I know there are some really good bargains on little boys shorts and Old Navy is always running a 2 for $15.00 sale.

Hi Idgie.
Yeah I read about this, what is this about a Hoola Hoop contest or something. I mean you should know, that I'm not really a fun in the sun, kind of guy so to want to go to Hawaii is a no-no hence why would I enter this contest in the first place!?? :sneaky: :-3
I mean if the first prize was say to Switzerland, then I might consider embarassing myself, but not Hawaii!! :wah:

Well I wouldn't say too much is wrong, just I prefer colder more snowy conditions that is all. :guitarist
So whose idea was this contest, I never even heard anything about it. But then perhaps it was because I was so busy trying to keep those male strippers from getting angry because SOME PEOPLE didn't turn up!!!

I told her this morning you probably took the hula hoop home with you since nobody showed up for your male strippers. The taker of the hoop got a free trip to Hawaii, so that's where we thought you might be this morning. :wah:
Hope was one lucky lady to be here all by herself for the entertainment. :-6
Hahaha ah so is that where the idea came from. One question though, seeing as how you weren't here, then how would you have known whether there was a Hoola Hoop here last night or not?? :sneaky:
And yes Hope was very lucky yesterday, but she stayed committed to JJ and that was nice to see. He also said that when the lads nights comes that he won't look at the ladies I bring in, but stay with Hope. Believe him?? :sneaky:

Oh well that makes sense, just I was here the whole time I don't remember anyone mentioning a Hoop, but then perhaps I must have just missed that part!!
No I agree that JJ will stick to his word, because he is that kind of guy, and to prove it I haven't seen him flirting with any other women in a long while!
And as for the sign, yes I'm still working on it. It's not easy coming up with a good welcoming sign you know. I have the board and all ready, just not the right words, so as soon as I have those, it will be up within an hour or so!

No you can't Mustang you are working today, you had yesterday off after all!! :wah:
Right I'll have to bring in the Hoop then next time, so that it will keep everybody entertained. If only I had known this earlier, and I could of just bought a load of cheap coloured hoops then all I have done, and saved SOOOOO much in the process!!
