Odoriferous! I will say nothing more about these rotten, inappropriate, misnamed quizzes except that my microbiologistical daughter didn't know some of the terms that were in the History quiz and they were clearly meant for a scientific mind equivalent to Albert Einstein. :wah: I found if I really want to embarrass myself I can take the actual test on any of the questions in that day's quiz.

And when there is a question with an "All of these" or a "Non of these" THAT'S the answer....whatever the question.

Wow, you were on a live radio show? I'll bet some of the stoopid FG Trivia questions were asked on it! I only watch on the telly. I was almost a contestant on Who Wants To Be a Millionaire tho. Lost out on a technicality. I did sing on a radio show once. (There seems to be a theme here of "trying to boost Zap's ego.) :wah:

4/10.....how on earth is this a science and technology question?

Your three-year-old daughter is acting jealous of her baby brother and is trying to push him away from your lap every time you're trying to feed the baby. What should you do?

ask your daughter to bring a book and read to her while you're feeding the baby.

involve your daughter in caring for the baby.

spend some extra time with her when the baby is sleeping.

all of these

Actually that question could be considered Child Psychology or Family & Child Rearing but how about the one I had last week in History which was translating a sentence written in French which had to do with smelly tennis shoes? Two choices had "shoes" in them, I chose the wrong one! :(

From Wikipedia:

"It may require general cleanup to meet Wikipedia's quality standards. Tagged since February 2008.

The psychology of science is a branch of the studies of science that includes philosophy of science, history of science, and sociology of science or sociology of scientific knowledge. The psychology of science is defined most simply as the scientific study of scientific thought or behavior. Some key figures currently in the psychology of science are William Brewer, Kevin Dunbar, Gregory Feist, Michael Gorman, David Klahr, Barbara Kosloswki, Deanna Kuhn, Sofia Liberman, Dean Keith Simonton, Will Shadish, Frank Sulloway, Paul Thagard, Ryan Tweney, Ron Westrum, and Wendy Parker."

Believe me, I am not defending the questions at all. I agree with Bruv's thought,

"I get the impression some days they were thrown together by a teenager as homework.......at the last minute."

I think a lot of the questions should be considered "General knowledge", not categorized as they are.

It depends on who you are. Neil Armstrong found a lunar landscape best suited for that. My complexion would need more of a beach setting.

Not easier, questions that can reasonably be expected to be known by an intelligent and well read person worldwide.

What picture is on the back of a dime issued in Iowa is not reasonable, questions involving the local brand names of drugs or local legislation or local advertising campaigns are not reasonable - I'd ask for difficult questions of universal applicability.

Ah, but today I had 2 British questions, 2 Australian ones & only 1 American. I know nothing about sports in England but if I were asked questions about American football or Rock n Roll I would excel. Too bad we can't compare. I'm going to do the practice tests & quizzes and try to do better. :)

No? I've a copy of the book he wrote... Amazon.com: The Legends and Myths of Hawaii; The Fables and Folk-Lore of a Strange People (9781150625343): David Kalakaua: Books

Hawaii's history is pretty monstrous when it reaches colonialism and the 19th century. There's a significant home-grown independence movement on the islands now. The way the islands were annexed is imperialism at its most commercial.

I'd gladly trade you. I know 2 of yours & I'll bet you would have known mine too-Get these categories: Midland Stations, Portugalia Airlines & Aircraft, Chester Cathedral, Arabic language & Big Rig Trucks.
