I love watching the pelicans fly through the sky Odie....They are lovely birds. I always watch them in Myrtle Beach, SC and along the gulf coast in Florida.

Oh Sorry Ducky. I just got home about 10:00 tonight from 7 this morning....very, very long and frustrating day:-1

Duckie - do you think Kathy would mind if I just snuck a teensy weensy little bit of her bacon and eggs.. starving wayfarer returns.. but with head down, keeping out of trouble. I come bearing freshly brewed coffee, champers, orange juice - and am bringing with me a bunch of tanned Aussie lifeguards - who are now pretty much off duty till next antipodean summer...

PS Wouldn't mind a sausage too, if that's ok?!

Yes, it is Ducky....It's Irish bacon, just like Canadian bacon...

Thank you everyone for the lovely food. Man oh man....I love an Irish brekkie...nothing like this experience. You'll love it Ducky....They serve crisp bacon (that's called a rasher), sausage, fried eggs, sometimes baked beans, blood pudding (yuk), lots of brown bread, tea and coffee....major yummo....

Pam....geeze, I owe you a big email.....hopefully this weekend... Have you heard from any of the Rogues lately:-6

Was telling hubs tonight they serve baked beans for brekkie:wah:...how about toast & jam? My idea of a really good brekkie...yum...always love Smuckers mixed fruit on my toast but can't find it in a jar! Only in resturants in those small tubs.:-5What is blood pudding compared to American food?

no, Kathy, its not pink when cooked, Canadian back bacon 'properly cooked' is light brownish.

I eat it here all the time.

If it is 'pink' when cooked, then it wasn't cooked properly, I wouldn't eat it.

G'day Kathy!! I've been chatting with Frannie, Arn and Nora... Long live Roguery !!!!!!!

And I don't mind a spot of black / white pudding either - think I ate yours as well as mine last time we shared a real Irish brekkie! Wouldn't mind doing that again this weekend..... sigh...

Still mega storming here. Sheets of rain and blustery, fierce wind. Kind of nice now it's night, and I have an excuse to sit by the window with a good book and watch the lights on the water, through all that.

I hope you have a great weekend. You too, Duckie and Odie!!!

I love Nana Mourkouri. She was discovered by Harry Belafonti and I had the pleasure of meeting her after a concert in New York. She held my hand and thanked me for coming to see her. Geeze, I thanked her for singing for me:-4 I feel blessed to have gone to so many of her concerts. She is absolutely amazing.

Hi Odie,

No beach for me yesterday....I worked all day and night on projects that needed to be done.

I may go today if it's not too crowded....plus, it's way cloudy and windy here right now.

I've lived at my beach home for 12 years. It's funny that I've never seen a mouse at the beach....never even thought about it. And, now I know why I've never seen a mouse.

We have 2 beautiful, feral tabby cats who hang out next door with the renters. One is very cheeky and hops up into the open window of the renter's house and just sits there, looking out the window, as though he owns the place:wah:

We have so many feral cats here, and I didn't want to encourage them by feeding them. But, I often wondered why they were so fat and healthy looking. Now I know why.

Tonight I went out to look at the stars. Instead I see the cat playing and stalking a wee mouse....Holy sh*te....I've never seen a mouse in my yard:-3 I flashed my light on the cat. and he was dancing and bouncing all around the mouse. He finally tired of his game, caught the mouse and absconded with him.

Think I better call the exterminator soon:p

Geeze, don't know if I wanna go out there again after dark.....cats, mice, drunken young men....oy vey....

It used to be so quiet here at the beach....I'm thankful to the cat and think that I'll give him some milk tomorrow.:D

Now that my summer holiday is finally here, I plan to catch up on movies that I never had time to watch....

I've read almost all of JR Tolkien's works and have seen The Hobbit and the 1st book of the Trilogy of Lord of the Rings. Plan to watch all again....

Only watched the 1st Harry Potter trilogy and plan to watch all....

Starwars...only watched the 1st one and will watch all...Thought there was supposed to be 9 vidoes but there was only 3?
