We are thinking of making a film... Oscar and Odie in Toronto:wah:

The refernece to bath tubs was after I found Oscar, my cat asleep in the bath tub last night. Notice the hatred in those orange eyes after I woke him up :yh_rotfl

:yh_rotfl I don't think my tub can bear the weight :wah: Years ago, I had a German Shepherd/Rottwieler cross who ate Pete's shed. Way too big to get in the tub so I used to hose her down in the yard on warm days.

I did rest...and rest...and rest....well, I think you get the picture. :yh_rotfl

Dogs are wonderful...I don't know what I'd do without my babies.

Cats just hide unless they want a rubdown or food. :yh_rotfl

You don't know how wonderful it is when you wake up a bit to have a sweet(well sometimes) little puppy laying in the crook of your legs...or to see her cuddled up in a little ball sleeping right next to my face. It just makes me smile...something I need. :-4

Oh yes please...or could you make that a baked potato with lots of butter and sour cream? Steak would be soooooooooooooo good...it's been quite sometime since I've had a good piece of meat! (and don't take this as a nasty, sexual thing, even tho it very well could be ;)) I'm just hungry for some steak!!!! That would make me happy! :-6

awwwwwwww I have always wanted a Beagle, my all time fav dog, he would sit on my lap, follow me around,we would play ball outside after his walkies, and just be here for me. I had a Beagle Shelll and how I loved her. She was the very first dog I ever had when I got my first home at 16 yrs old. She came from the RSPCA as a rescue. She was a nightmare.... and I'd have to scream at her. Two years after getting her, I had to take her to the vets which meant an overnight stay to have a cyst drained. When I went back the next day for her, the vet said to me 'You do know this dog is completely deaf don't you?' NO, I didn't... I thought she was just defiant. Every thing slotted into place then. She was approx 6 years old when I got her and after that the vet x rayed her head and believed her deafness was caused by a kick to the head. I had her for 10 years until she got cancer. Towards the end, before the cancer she went blind. I would put my mouth on top on her head and hum to let her know I was there.

Yes, toward the end when she was deaf and blind, i'd hum on her head and she would nestle into my arms and lick me. I bought her a very expensive collar in Harrods in London. It cost me a fortune. When she died, although I have loved all my dogs, I never felt one truelly took her place to wear that collar. Only over 20 years later did I get it out and put it on my Mulder.

And she knew your scent, so she always knew it was her momma that was snuggling her. What a lucky little girl. I know what you mean about the collars...I have yet been able to reuse a collar on a different dog...each one has their own place in my heart and it's just something I can't do. I understand your 20yrs.

I know what you mean about the collars...I have yet been able to reuse a collar on a different dog...each one has their own place in my heart and it's just something I can't do. I understand your 20yrs. It's wierd isn't It that you think you are being disloyal by using their collars again. I remember the day I got it out and it still smelt of her. :wah:

It's like the next one doesn't seem worthy of wearing that memory...until they grow on you and you realize they are worthy in their own right and should have their own special collar. It takes a real dog lover to understand what we're talking about. :-4

I bought her a very expensive collar in Harrods in London. It cost me a fortune. When she died, although I have loved all my dogs, I never felt one truelly took her place to wear that collar. Only over 20 years later did I get it out and put it on my Mulder.

Such a touching story Julie. -you, Shell and I have that special way of treating our pets.....she was one special beagle.;)
