The plumber never showed up until after 6. I was so annoyed at that time that I had already cancelled the service call.

What gives them the right to show up so late? I called the company, and they kept telling me that he'd be there shortly....grrrrrrr....Now I have to call another company, but think I'll call someone local.

The plumber should have called you.....

yup...call someone else.

Well, I heard something yesterday that struck a deep chord within me. Carlos Santana said this in regards to his album Supernatural. He was approached about doing a collaboration album and he had anxiety about it, fear because it was a new territory for him. After being pursued on the idea for some time he said he deferred his fear to trust and that if you want to create a miracle for yourself...get out of your own way The album went on to win 9 Grammys.

Oy vey...I just watched "Sleepless in Seattle" for the 4th time and cried again at those special parts. I just love Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan.

I think that some of us have cried here, haven't we?

Go to my "Cinema Unforgettable" Thread. I'm sure you will also find a scene or two that touched you if you have seen the movie.

Referring to Nomie's post, I guess there are some miracles you can make happen. Has this ever happened to you?

I am trying out a new piano today, a strech grand. (not for me, but for the church) I haven't played a biggie like that before, only a grand. I ran home yesterday from vacation to practice, haven't done any music for those two weeks. I wonder what they will let me play. (3 of us will be trying it out) I am taking along Beethoven for classical, Brooklyn Tabernacle for church feel. (oops, left the hymn book at home.......)

Forget the broken water pipes in the front yard-can't fix them until Friday or Monday anyway, I am off styling...................... :)

The Wife wanted to watch "sleepless in Seattle"

I fell asleep.

I preferred "Joe versus the Volcano" for a Hanks romantic comedy.

Littleone and I went to get our hair cuts today, as school starts for her next week.

Our regular shop was packed so we headed to the shop in the mall. I told the lady who got me that I'd like between 1/4 and 1/2 inch off. Then I took my glasses off.

The hair on the back of my head is now 1/2 inch long..... daughter keeps calling me 'dude'.......

Oh, sounds like a good 'do!

We had our hair cut this week-and we always go to the place where my old students are the beauticians. (grew up to be such good girls) I wanted an appointment to have my hair french braided for the wedding in 3 weeks, and those dear things started arguing over who was going to do it. The owner came over-a cute guy too, always the top hair person there-and told them he was doing it, see me ay 7:45 that day. Made my day. :)
