Hi everybody, I'm taking a break, for various reasons. Not sure how long for, but it will be quite a time before I think of returning. I will miss my lovely friends on here very much, and that part of it makes me very miserable.

I just can't believe that one or two who I thought were friends, have chosen to not communicate in any way - barred me on msn, don't answer my PMs or even when I phone them, so it is not possible to get to the root of the matter - how sensible is that? Perhaps I realise now that I just cannot cope with people who behave in such a childish manner. I am not like that, myself, and never have been - I do not 'fall out' with people or refuse to communicate with them, as there is no possibility of sorting anything out if you are like that. It doesn't seem civilised.

So I say goodbye, for now, as there are things to be dealt with in my real life.

Dont let it be goodbye. Just take a little rest. We've all done it. I was gone for far too long.

I have no idea what went on. Very few here probably do but dont let it cloud your opinion of the members and the board in general.

There are quite a few here that would miss your contribution, including me. Give it a few days, take a deep breath and pop back ;)

This a great loss Gill and i ask you not to go. After all, us Neo-Nazi Fascist Rascist's have to stick together :rolleyes:

I can sympathise as of late a member has made me feel that in all honesty, if i met them in the sreet, i would seriusly punch them out.

All members clash and there are the odd one that i expect it from but this one has started only very recently and is down right nasty. We all love our great British humour but this one has gone too far. I'm not reporting the posts, it' not worth it.

Hope to see you really soon Gill. Take good care of yourself. XXX

Hey Gill, I hope you do come back. Everyone has spats sometimes. It's a bit like living in a commune here with everybody involved in everybody else's business. Sometimes you just need to stap outside the commune and take some deep breaths. I hope you come back when you feel calmer. Take care. Hugs. Rap. xxx

Thanks for your post, Rap. I'm afraid the reasons why I'm not posting much are a bit more complicated. I have a lot of private probs which will be on-going for some months, and I don't need suspicion etc. levelled at me by one or two people on here who just don't seem prepared to throw me some slack. So at the moment I try to avoid such things, as it is too upsetting. I am sure I will return properly at some time in the future, to annoy everybody !! :D ;) :-4

Odie, thanks for that Mrs. I'm not back properly though. My posts will be very intermittent, depending on how things are at home etc. I do miss my friends so I do try to read the threads as often as I can - also in my capacity as a mod. to check for spammers etc. I also have to share this PC, as it is the only one we have at the moment, and there are 3 of us to use it !

I hope things are trundling along OK for you now, and that you feel a little happier - keep :) :) :) :-4

Ahhh, The Major Oak, I have sat under that tree as a child many times, before the fencing and scaffolding had to be put up to protect it. We used to spend a couple of weeks a year holidaying in Mansfield Woodhouse. :-6

I can remember vividly being allowed to walk inside the Major Oak, as a little girl. and thinking it was huge !!! Nobody's allowed to go near it now. It is well supported but it is very much alive still, and scientists have cloned dozens of Major Oaks and I believe they are for sale. :-6 :)

Actually, Odie, that piccy doesn't really indicate the huge size of that tree. If two 6 ft. men stood one on the other's shoulders under the large bow on the left of the tree, the top man's head would just about touch that bow ! :D

What a lovely day today ! Blue skies and fluffy white clouds scudding across the blue ! My hubby and son have gone for a long walk - wish I could have gone with them :(. They took our 12 1/2 year old German Shepherd through the woods first, then thought they would like a longer walk, so I'm left here with dear Rex. Still it gives me an opportunity to use the PC (my son and I have to share it !).

I hope you are all having a good day as well ! :-6 :D

Well I've been very busy today sorting old papers out. I'd no idea that I had squireled away so much bloody paperwork ! We had to retain all our paperwork from the business for 7 years in case Inland Revenue needed to refer to them ! For my own peace of mind I have to sift through each piece, in case I have left something important amongst them. Then I have to burn the lot. Trouble is, round here, folks hang their washing out and there's always somebody's washing out each day of the flippin week, which my bonfire smoke may dirty. So it looks like I'll have to get Hubs to do burns in the evenings - that will keep us busy for the next week !!! :yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl:yh_rotfl (there's a lot of paperwork). Gawd, I'm knackered now !! :( :D
