I have an Ecuadorian friend. He went to Quito on vacation and the street vendors sell dog on a stick, like ke-bab. He tried it. He came back with a tape worm. Is this the kind of thing were looking for here ?

Jamie Olivers kitchen is spotless you could eat off the floor - Kit the guy who was his mentor back in the old days before he was the nakid chef used to make them clean down the kitchens to be almost sterile. I had the misfortune to work there during my training. He was a slave driver. Jamie Oliver was great though.
Our kitchens at work were spotless too - had the guys from environmental health pop around unexpected - so they had to be. Geoff, the head-chef was proud of that, no matter what part of service we were in he passed every time.
I think it is a great idea to be able to watch the kitchens at work - two reasons first - improves healthy standards and second - stops chefs from being to much a prima donna Trust me they can be!

The kind of places that charge a weeks wages for 'posh nosh'...some good and some overated although I have no first hand experience. I have more of a Neros and McDonalds budget...but I like it that way. ....don't have to put on airs and graces then.....but it is nice to do a bit of 'posh' as a treat sometimes.

You really should tell them - how can they improve if they think they doing a good job!
There are ways to complain that get great results and ways that just **** people off so they just wanna get rid of you.
I like constructive critism best - works a charm :-6
Raw chicken is dangerous - salmonela to name one - makes you very ill and can have long term effects - my dad disabled due to 'food posioning' 17 years ago

We had a great little drive thru :driving: hamburger joint here in town that made the best burgers. It was owned and run by a local church. They woud hire the teens to come in and run it. Found out one of the boys had been peeing in the pickle relish jar as a joke. Never went there again. It soon closed after that.

I worked in lots of restaurants when I was younger.
Best prank? One little drop of Visine in a rude customer's drink will give them extreme diarrhea for a week!
(Caution: two drops will make them die of diarrhea!!)

I worked as a dishwasher in a little Mexican restraunt when I was in highschool. The kitchen was totally disgusting, and the fact they reused chips and salsa if a table had not eaten all of thiers really grossed me out. They also reused the spices served with Menudo.
