I'm really careful with Buster. He is afraid of people he doesn't know -- after all, everything and everyone is *bigger* than him!
When people ask me if they can pat Buster, I always tell them, "Let Buster smell your hand first. If you reach over his head, all he sees is a GIANT hand moving towards him and he gets scared!"
This usually calms Buster down enough to realize that the person is *not* a threat.
But it takes continual educating. I would feel absolutely HORRIBLE if Buster ever bit someone.
And that would be MY fault, not Buster's :-6
