It's amazing how the bond between us has all grown so strong, that amazing acts of friendship like this happen, considering that only a short while ago we were all complete strangers to each other. This place is magical isn't it! :-6

I have PayPal. Is that of any use or interest. I will contribute when something is set up. Hammy, could you set up a bank account preferably one that exists in Canada as well and people could deposit to it?
You should be able to set up a bank account for the people in the U. S. and give your address to the rest of us. I like the bank account thing. There must be a bank that is international.:-6

Hammie my friend
Is there a reason that a PayPal account would not work?
I know that I've sent money to Australia through it
If Jimbo or The Suz have an account through eBay (they can set one up pretty fast, I think)
Couldn't we all send money to that specific account?

Oh I see

If you have it, we can send it to your account and then you can write out one larger check.
Would that work for you? :-6

I would say yes. And . . . if we do, why not have Jimbo and The Suz PM people their address -- that way it'll get to them more quickly than having to go through you.
But bless you for coming up with the idea, my lovely little furry friend :-6

Suzy
Did you give them your bank account number or Visa No.? That is how you get into your PayPal and your number is in there. You have to put in your email address and your password too. I can help when you need help. I have been using paypal for 2 years.
Got that backwards. You have to put your email and password in first.

Jim's just got in and is just trying to call Chantelle now, he is so very grateful for all your offers and said the only way he could accept is on the condition that everyone will take the money back early next year when my money comes through. If anyone wants to agree to that then PM me and i'll give you any details you need. Thankyou all once again for your kind words and warm wishes you have no idea how much it means to us, especially Jim who has never really had his own extended family. Love to you all :-4

So I'd imagine no one will want it back. Jim can simply pay it forward , when and if he is able and finds someone he 'wishes' he could help. And if he does it without expecting a thank you or a payback, he can consider himself square with most everyone here, I would imagine...
But what do I know?:p
Oh yes, please, reallly. I love the pay it forward idea. That way everybody is always helping everybody Jimbo. Please do let it be that.

Snooze and Floppy,
I hope that no-one misreads your intent in what you're saying. You're right, financial help may not be what they need but what else can we do?!
The people here are amazing - it certainly makes me think that all the petty differences that we'd probably have in real life don't mean a thing when the chips are down.

Don't be daft snooze, nothing would help your popularity:wah: :wah: It would help as Jim has had no work due to weather over the previous 5 weeks, just had some come in this week and for next week, but now i'm flat on my back and had to cancel all my work, sods law!! Jim has said the only way he could do it is if we can pay everyone back, otherwise he'll feel really bad and cant accept it.
