I went and got a headset in the half an hour that I get for lunch, rushed home to connect it all and discovered that the headphone socket is on the front and the mic socket is on the back and the wirs are too short!!!!
I'm going to have to take it back and change it. That's soooooo annoying!

You should just get a table-top mic pinks, they are handier I think! Don't worry everyone makes mistakes, especially me so I can't really laugh can I? :wah:

You are supposed to put it around your head. Are you putting it somewhere it shouldn't go?

Bloody thing!!!! It goes in the usb port where the wireless mouse usually goes..only the bloomin' manual mouse doesn't work! Looks like I'll have to go out yet again to buy another mouse. It's starting to get annoying now!
You could buy a USB hub, if you've run out of sockets.

I just discovered this thread and wanted to add my two cents worth. I use Skype from my laptop here in New Zealand to talk computer to computer (phone conversation), as well as anyone's land line or cell. The clarity (if you have Broadband) is excellent and there is no echo. It's free if you call computer to computer and cheap, cheap, cheap calling a land line or cell. I had a 40 minute call to Portugal this AM that cost less than $1 USD. For some reason or other, I can't seem to get some family or friends to use it. It's not difficult at all to set up and start using.
If you've never heard of VoIP, get ready to change the way you think about long-distance phone calls. VoIP, or Voice over Internet Protocol, is a method for taking analog audio signals, like the kind you hear when you talk on the phone, and turning them into digital data that can be transmitted over the Internet. How is this useful? VoIP can turn a standard Internet connection into a way to place free phone calls. The practical upshot of this is that by using some of the free VoIP software that is available to make Internet phone calls, you are bypassing the phone company (and its charges) entirely.
VoIP is a revolutionary technology that has the potential to completely rework the world's phone systems. VoIP providers have already been around for a little while and are growing steadily. Major carriers are already setting up VoIP calling plans in several markets around the United States, and the FCC is looking seriously at the potential ramifications of VoIP service.

I have Sipgate and I downloaded the Sipgate Light phone , I have not yet give my number out, I will because I like the free calls around the world , I am thinking of putting my number in my settings or would it just be better to give it only to people who ask for it
