MDR!! :yh_rotfl Did I just see some Scots Gaelic in here?... among the French.. WOW... Je me débrouille en français, Linio. I visit France quite often. I had a week's hiking in Provence last year, starting in Cavaillon. Wonderful colours. Wonderful people. I stayed on farms, and once even in an old shepherd's hut. This May I managed a week's hiking in Brittany and loved that too. Very different of course from the south. La Côte de Granit Rose!!! The sea, the wind, the rock formations.. wild and beautiful, with crazy celtic undertones. The heath, standing stones, legends of cities swallowed by the waves. Yeah, okay that's the romantic bit.. lots of normal usual stuff there too.. :D Hope to be back in France in a few months. My son and younger daughter live in London and they are having a few days in Paris (their first visit to France) next week - it's my son's birthday and this little trip is his sister's birthday present to him!!! Great pressie!!!

Just got a new CD and on it there is an awesome song by the Paris Combo - called Lettre à P.. which celebrates the air pollution of the city of love. :sneaky:

It is kinda neat to see you speak so nice about France.

I gotta say I love places people never go visit.

Down the little hill where my sister lives lies an old castle walking on the water. When the night comes we can only see the sky and little lights among the river of people crazy enough to grow a house amongst the trees. It is so peaceful, very different than it is during the day, the shimmering moonlight, fresh air...

And it's the Winter, I love this season. I'm in Toulouse one of the biggest city in France, during the christmas season there's a market on the 'Place de Capitole' in little wooden huts, with all christmas things you can which to find. Little glass items as gift. Food, Music, and everything.

Here's some wallpaper I made with pictures I took from Toulouse and near my sister's place.

Hope it doesn't take to long to show...

Sooo!

If there's so much french speakers in here, why don't we make a french topic (Vote yes! :))

I've been thinking about that, Linio. The question of non-English threads arose a while ago when we got an Italian member - Hi Accadue!!!! - and fizzled. For me this is an English speaking forum. There are loads of other forums in French, Italian etc. I guess non English speakers come here in order, at least in part, to speak English. And those of us who want to post in other languages go to other places to do this. In my opinion, having threads here in languages other than English might be seen as divisive. So I vote for keeping you, our great new French member, accessible to the largest number of Forum Gardeners... :D

[quote=Linio;452828]Hi Everybody.

I'm Linio.

As said in the title i'm a little french guy (not that it matters whatsoever but my english grammar may be a little fuzzy sometimes, so don't hesitate to correct me if i say something stupid).

What else can I say?

I'm 24, I study computer sciences and microelectronics, and I like tv shows.

If you want to know more, i'm open to every question you may have.

1. Do you ever wear womens panties ?

2. Would you rather fall into a vat of boiling oil or be eaten alive by dozens of rabid Gila monsters ?

3. What was your most embarrassing sexual encounter ?

4. Do you ever dream about farm animals ?

5. If you could be president of the world for 1 day and you were standing in front of cameras while all of the peoples of Earth watched on, what monumental and life changing words would you convey ?

Nomad-- you have excelled yourself with deeply probing questions!!! I shall eagerly await Linio's answers. (Answering Nomie's questions is a kind of initiation rite in ForumGarden- those who survive, get smiled at by all the ladies, and are awarded their very own key to the executive washroom)

Never did, but if asked gently...

2. Would you rather fall into a vat of boiling oil or be eaten alive by dozens of rabid Gila monsters ?

As I needed a dictionnary for the second option, i'll take that one. At least, If I die, I'll die clever (and apparently adventurous too)

3. What was your most embarrassing sexual encounter ?

That may or may not be an interesting thing to tell but... It's not suitable for children. Let's just say She wanted to, I didn't, so that's like the cartoon of the woman running to grab the man, only... less wild, and less humoristic too...

4. Do you ever dream about farm animals ?

If by dream you mean me backpack riding on a wild horse, yes, if you mean... something else, well... no.

5. If you could be president of the world for 1 day and you were standing in front of cameras while all of the peoples of Earth watched on, what monumental and life changing words would you convey ?

Hum, hum... Mike test, 1, 2, 3...

(If I did think I could change something in just one day, I wouldn't do Computer Science, but Politics obviously ;))

Other question?
