Dear fellow Gardeners

In life, whether in the real or the cyber world we put people on pedestals but we should all remember that we are all just HUMAN BEINGS with our own set of mountains to climb, our own 'baggage' to carry round, our own unique personalities and our own good and bad points.

Some folks here are totally transparent....what you see here is exactly the person they are in RL....others are more gaurded and prefer not to 'bare their souls' in public. There are probably some that are totally different in RL to the persona we see here.

I normally avoid getting involved in public threads about a particular person, preferring to show my support or 'otherwise' via PM. HOWEVER, this is about NOMAD and yes he has flaws in his character as we all do, but if it the last thing I ever do at FG I give him my 100% support through thick and thin. I don't need to justify this to anyone...this is how it is.

With love from

Just over a year ago, when I was "lonely in Omaha" Nomad was prepared to drive down and collect me so that I could stay with him and his lovely wife for the remainder of my time in America. It wasn't an empty offer, he was just awaiting the call (from Chonsi) to say I was ready. He didn't know me, all he knew was that I was desperately unhappy and lonely and stuck in a country that I didn't know, his country. That was all he needed to know, to offer his hospitality. Chonsi, who had made a similar offer to me, liaised with Nomad to ensure that things went smoothly. As it happened, I stayed where I was. But I shall never forget his, and Chonsi's, generosity of spirit and genuine concern for my wellbeing.

Mom and Wolvie also offered to come and see me. And Accountable? Well he had pmmed me his telephone number even before I left England (I think he has psychic powers!).

And everyone else who was at FG at the time, offered me support, encouragement and love. That's what is unique about Forum Garden. It may be cyber space but just let something bad occur in real life and its members all pull together to help. It happens time and time again.

We all have our fall-outs, we can all get prickly and moan like crazy about other members, either overtly or quietly into our beards. But, when one of those members is in trouble, something amazing happens here, something that goes far beyond just cyber words.

There is something very special about this place :-4

I don't belong to any clique here and prolly a lot of folks here have no use for me. That don't chap my ass none cuz I come here to relax and make friends of whatever folks are willing to step forward.

I put away my toys and childish things a loooooong time ago and decided to be an adult.Mebbe some folks here should think of doing that same thing?

Just my 2 cents with malice towards no one.....

Honesty is of course always the best policy & you are entitled to say what you think just as much as anyone else here Nomad, however i doubt anything out of the recent troubled threads came as much of a shock to anyone who is a long term member. We all know each other pretty well & who is capable of what.

Block the one's sending you venom & go about your mad, bad & fun scientific duties to the world ;) Ignore all this s**t coz thats what it is hun.

I truly recommend a pair of my rose-colored glasses. That way you can experience the positive in each and every one of us.

There will always be crap. Can't avoid having it in your life.

But you can put on a pair of my shades and enjoy the love and goodness that abounds, too :-6

Love you Nomad

And more importantly

I respect you, too :-6

This place would not be the same without the base group of regulars we have here. Such a diverse group of people.

Nomad...you bring the right touches of humor and heart to the place. You speak your mind...and sometimes get folks upset, but you are man enough to com back and say you are sorry. Don't change....speak your mind, if that is what you want to do.
