Out of the blue last week Spot showed up at another forum I post at and he and I had in the past argued here in the garden to a point where we just didnt like each other. I've never found relying on size to stiffen the interfacing is a good long-term solution, the tie always seems to lose its form fairly quickly unless you have a really firm linen (that's my preference) inside. Bookbinding has a similar challenge in that regard.

If that's not it, maybe you could describe the problem in finer detail?
