we all try from time to time Jesse, don't give up on it, I have been preaching respect forever on here, some folks just love to muck it up. As for the PM system or the general public system neither work some people will forever muck fling, tis up to each individual as to how they wish to handle it.
Members will come and go and if we want this place to work we will stick by it and post to the most respected way we all know how.

KE and anyone else... no deleting accounts, just walk away for a week or so, regroup, gather your thoughts and come back fresh, deleting accounts is drastic and final and well frankly we all here who have rode the waves get very sad when we see memebers deleting accounts. We feel like we have somehow failed. This isn't the easiest of places to be at times but I tell ya at any given time you are bound to find a handful off good folks online to chat up. We just have to manage our reactions to those who offend us. If you go forum hunting one day go see how big other forums are, we rank among the highest in membership and active members, it's a great feeling. Tis ok to be mad, tis ok to go away mad but always leave the door open so you can come back and partake.

i think if bad things are going on in your life f g is probably the best place to get genuine TLC ever , but if you are feeling down ,your an easy target for any low life ass wipe thats had a bad day need to take it out on someone dick head muppet type of person , if you can ignore it its for the better , in the long run if feel that gets too them more ,there are some things like attacks on your family or personally attacks on you that can not be left unanswered or indeed if a fellow f ger is being attacked unfairly , they should be defended but stupid petty things just let them go :-6 :-6

I came into this thread a bit late. I have been known for fighting a lot of forums. Sometimes it's really difficult not to get into arguments. And believe it or not, I actually try not to fight. I know what it's like to log on and have someone waiting for you to harrass and belittle. You have to just tell yourself that these people would not be writing this mean stuff if they were speaking to you face to face. I mean in real life I'm a pretty mellow person. And not easy to make mad.

not really obviously they found a place that suited them better. Nobody can force you to leave a forum, it's all a matter of how you handle yourself around each situation.

If anyone really cared about this forum they would wonder why there are 30 odd members posting over at another forum .
What other forum? This one is still the best.
As a matter of fact, I just got a new credit card and after I activate it I'm gonna become a paying member here. So I can stay here. And have my own avatars and stuff.

This thread speaks of deleted accounts and why some members have left. I answered that with my own question in another thread.

May I ask, which forum have ppl defected to? If is't the one with the bright orange and black background, it isn't my cup of tea.

Defected seems a rather coloured word, Cinamin. As Koan and Minks have said, people go where they feel comfortable - depending on a whole range of things. Some went to MadChatters, some to 24Hours, others to Rant and Rave and some to other places. I started in the Virtual Irish Pub, myself - a great place. Many of us post in more than one chatroom.
What's the orange and black one???? I'm sure I've never been to one that colour!

Hi Jesse, i just wanted to say - ive been here two years, maybe more, my spelling & punctuation has always been poor. I was attacked for it on many occasions at the beginning. Nobody does it now because lets face it, what can they do about it? force me to spell better? i dont think so :wah:
The image of someone sitting at home fuming at a computer screen because of a spelling mistake is just laughable, dont let it get to you.

"Abbeypants"? I'd rather wait for pants to ask first if that's alright, a sort of "oh, spot, what does that mean I've no idea" sort of post. Or maybe she's sensible enough to not open that particular can of worms.

Now that can of worms ... As you know i went to rant rave to call another member out , this person had given out my home telephone number to another member i'd had a disagreement with here . That person then went on to harrass me and give me dodgy phone calls . I also recall that person just have another sly dig this morning .
