We don't get that thank goodness! lol

'Sup' instead of, 'what's up' is annoying though. I ignore anyone who says that to me or if it's say in a chat room I say, 'no thanks, had supper'.

Oh, it drives me mental when someone (well, everyone) says that.

All the new internet language drives me insane too, and when English speakers writes as they talk: 'nuffin', 'nuffink', 'summink' and for the love of god, there should be some kind of punishment for using 'U' 'R' 'gr8' and that sort of things.

And I hate the word '*****'.

And when people can't tell the difference between your and you're, their and they're.

"Why not just tell people I'm an alien from Mars. Tell them I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight. They'll believe anything you say, because you're a reporter. But if I, Michael Jackson, were to say, 'I'm an alien from Mars and I eat live chickens and do a voodoo dance at midnight', people would say, 'Oh, man, that Michael Jackson is nuts. He's cracked up. You can't believe a damn word that comes out of his mouth.' " Michael Jackson

One of my x-supervisors from and old job used to use the word "proactive" alot when she wanted to tell me I did something she liked. It pissed me off, because she seemed as if she was saying that I wasn't doing it all the time. But the word itself has no meaning to me. proactive? What the hell is that? And another f-ing thing she'd do was leave these extremely long voice mails on my v-mail asking me to do a lot of stuff ASAP. And by the time I was finished listening to her 3 voice mails I could have done everything and then more and then began my own work on my desk. But that phrase ASAP pushed my buttons. Because she'd overpronounce the P at the end.

Another word I hate is "basically". My x-husband used to use that word when we were arguing. He'd start a sentence with "well basically", and then none of what he said was very credible after that phrase. As if the phrase itself was supposed to make him sound intelligent. And he usually had nothing intelligent to say.

I also hate the word "regardless". When certain people start a sentence with "regardless". I always wonder if they know what it means.

I hate it when an American Poitician says "What the American People-------"

I also hate the expression "What goes around, comes around."

I hate it when someone says "With all due respect", athough I must plead quilty on this one occasionally.

I hate the use of the word irregardless instead of irrespective.

Ha, I just used that phrase in a good-bye letter to my x-boyfriend. Along with the words................"you have not even begun to reap what you've sown".

(He reads the bible a lot).

I also had the word vomit, that has to be my worse. It just sounds so gross.

Did I mention people starting a sentence with the word basically? Argh damn chat shows!

Gobsmacked (would like to smack you in the gob for saying that word)

Nice - when it's overused, there are so many wonderful describing words in the English language and people stick to 'nice'. sheesh!

Basically, whatever, minger all make me cringe at times.

Oh, I can't stand all that 90's management speak like - proactive, empower, ball park, thinking out of the box etc - so cliched now. Stop saying those things. think of something else.

Yes I do mean the quotation marks lol as I said before my teachers would do that all the time and when people do that now in front of me that's all I can remember.

To me that's what nightmares are made off.
