In truth, I'm a solitarty, I go my own way, think my own thoughts and say what I think based on MY judgement, no-one elses.

That doesn't mean I don't like and respect people, just that I'm not scared to stand alone now and and again.

I see things as I see them, not what someone else says. This has lost me a lot of good friends, because I've been unwilling to follow the mob, but the mob isn't always right IMO. So what? So I've got the wherewithal to follow up what I think rather than what others say? I always have and I always will. It's a shame more can't think for themselves rather than being led by suggestion.

Arent you the leader of the Hells Angels Pink Chapter hehehehe

Pinks I hear ya, and to a degree am in the same boat... Been banned from places because i have the same old stodgy opinion. Ah well, but again in all fairness not everyone uses their voice to take their stands.

The person who gave me the infraction was the person the whole 'public anouncement'thread was about so they have a vested interest and have had a grudge for 18 months . This whole mess shows how corrupt the mods having power can be . Its disgusting . I hope everyone is taking note . Mods can be nasty just no one else , i also think you'll find it was one of the mods who made the original complaint about the post in that thread ... This is one big set up Let me just put the record straight Pants, I do not hold grudges.

As Koan stated, the mods were asked to deal with you, i was the one that did it.

I have to hold my hand up and apologise to you, i got the post wrong, the post ishould have used was

I dont see any good reason you bringing this to the forum, if you are so disturbed then maybe you should question it with Tombstone.

In your own words I shall not respond anymore on this matter.

I'm glad i did bring it to the forum for every one to see so they can all see how corrupt this is . Now you all might find this boring but if it were you being harrassed by mods with a grudge and i think past events show that very clearly, this could happen to any one of you .

What i would like to see, is more fairness. Why are mods calling people names and nothing is done ( is that fair ) . I would also like to see who the people are that make the complaints . In this instance i know for a fact the original complaint came from at least one mod ( who has already stated that they dislike me very much ) so really this is just one big set up . How can we trust mods with an agenda , would you trust me if i had that power .

A mod should be impartial, fair, not seen to take sides . Be non judgemental not favour their friends over people they dislike and not have a proven history of disliking someone . Just because a person claims to be not bias - doesn't make it true . I have contacted Tombstone - lets see what happens shall we and i certainly won't be keeping quite if it happens again .

This is not directed at you Pants, just an observation here.

I'm a little confused by all this, but if that is the way mods are supposed to behave then it would mean that they can't come in and play with the rest of us. Have an opinion about what goes on in a thread or put in their two cents?

We can speak our minds but they can't? I like a good discussion and Koan makes me think and laugh when she's a little naughty!

That would mean that a mod would have to like everyone regardless of what they say or how they act. I don't think anyone is capable of that. We all like different things and people. For them to be an automaton is asking a bit much. :)

I know it's a difficult one, but there has been so much hostility here that i really think a mod should be better than the rest of us or at least seen to be above the bitching and sniding . Whats going on here is that the mods are looking after their friends and then baiting people they don't like . How is that fair . The way i see it they should have no power to punish - that should come from Tombstone himself and only him because he owns the board . Now up until yesterday no one even knew they had the power to hand out infractions . We need openness not people setting up the people they don't like .

Being a mod does not mean you have to like everybody. Being a mod does not mean you have to be in total agreement with everybody all the time in case you hurt someones feelings. As has already been discussed, infractions cannot be handed out by a mod just because they feel like it. it is discussed and agreed upon. Tombstone has a say in all the working of the mods as well.

And yes I am a Moderator too. The reason so many people have not been willing to state that they are mods if the exact reason this thread started. Mods are picked on as they are easy targets.

Well here we are - we are your new punchbags. :-5

No need to pick on and complain about Tombstone all the time. We are here to try and bring a bit of security and reassurance to the forum. NOT to pick on people! If somebody has a legitimate problem we are here to help. If we see cruelty, baiting, flaming etc it will be dealt with appropriately after discussion.

We are not evil people you know!

I hear what your saying , i just don't see it in practise .

I'd merely observe that the moderation powers you're so berating have been in place now for a mere two days. If "there has been so much hostility here" it has certainly not been either aided or abetted by moderator powers. Various people have screamed for the introduction of moderators on FG and now you've got them, though not necessarily because of it. I'm reminded of King Crocodile, and the wailing of Israel after they finally got the kings they'd asked for.

Two days hey , so why was nobody told . You know i have no problem with the board being moderated i just expect it to be done fairly (which it isn't ) . so who moderates the moderaters when they break the rules or do we continue to pretend that doesn't happen .

OK. For the record, seeing as you will not let this drop, your post deserved an slap - it was out of order and calling it does not constitute "corruption", just letting you know that you'd overstepped the line.

And no, I'm not a moderator and never will be.

Now will you shup up about it?

Some of you guys are making this more of a big deal than it is.

Bannings and Infractions can be reversed. But mods are careful not to dish out infractions or bannings unless they feel certain their admin will agree with their actions. Nothing is worse than having something like that reversed and having your infraction/ban finger slapped. I know this because I've wanted to 'infract' some idiots at RR before but want to make sure my actions are justified.

As far as kissing the mods's bootie or never debating with them for fear of repercussions, maybe some of you now see where your bread is buttered.:wah:

I've submitted my resume for the next mod job. I think I would enjoy it here.

Chill out

Hi, Stitchmom.

You have to go into "My Settings" then "edit Options" on the left panel.

Change your default thread subscription to "do not subscribe". That will stop notifications of any further threads. To get rid of the current ones you have to go into "List subscriptions" and delete them all.

Thanks so much Koan. I did that, just now. I figured it was simple, but being new hadn't figured it out yet. Thanks again. :)
