Oh, well I live closer to Natchez (that's where I go quite often), but have been to Biloxi many times. Love it there, although it's still suffering so after the hurricanes

Yes, I've heard. My father went through Katrina. He's up here with us now. His house, what's left of it, is still down there though. I'll probably have to go down & take care of getting rid of it at some point.

It looks different. Everything. The entire coast. There are places in Southern Louisiana that no longer exist. It's sad, because so many lost everything.

Ya know, in all honesty, I was getting pretty angry about how so much was being done for & so much attention was being poured on New Orleans! Yes, they suffered, but so did so many other areas down there, including Biloxi, who got the brunt of the hurricane. But you never once heard about them!

You're not the only one. Although it's still Louisiana, no attention whatsoever was paid to the western parishes, or the ones south of New Orleans, and many of those were totally eliminated, yet all the media went to N.O.

I would've loved to retire down there... but after Katrina, I'm thinking more along the lines of Georgia or the Carolinas. I do so love the south!! And the EXTREMELY FRIENDLY people!!

We are certainly a breed of our own I've actually never had the chance to visit the North, so I'm unsure of any differences, but I do know that the South is full of kind people.

Well, I can tell you whoever invented the phrase "Southern Hospitality" wasn't kidding! You really don't find near as many nice people up here as compared to down there.

Yes, hospitality is second nature to most of us, however that's not always the case. We have our share of a$$holes too And gossipmongers run rampant LOL
