CH,
Is it sunny where you are?
Do you smoke?
If you drink, what is your fave alcohol drink?
Coffee or Tea?

Do you use a walking stick on hikes?
Are you hairy?
Do you like cheese, if yes fav flavour/type?
Do you collect anything or have you in the past? (dust or bellybutton fluff excluded)
1) Well, I've experimented with walking poles and they're good on really steep up slopes, but I tend to find they're just a hindrance on the flat. It seems they will save you 10% energy use (or so they claim) in your legs over a day, and spread it over the rest of you (says he, looking in some dismay at his giving-up-smoking, end-of-winter little pot). Only use them when I'm carrying a big pack though. The rest of the time they're just a nuisance.
2) Only on the inside.

. Don't shave my legs!
3) Cheese. Oh yes. Good runny brie, nice stilton. Haven't met a cheese I didn't like as far as I can remember, xpt the flabby processed variety.
4) Books. Type has varied with time. Mostly history and military history at present: got sucked into military history a few years ago after reading Sharpe's Waterloo on the train and thinking, "O come on! Surely not," and buying some of the books Cornwell listed in the bibliography. That got me on to Wellington and it's wandered vaguely from there. Also reread Jane Austen at intervals. Sci-fi and fantasy, though that's been ferociously weeded recently. Bits and bobs of poetry.

Chuckle. Am cooking at present - tomorrow's stew prepared, tonight's salmon about to be done. Will get back to this after viciously lemoning the salmon.:sneaky:
7) It's spring here. It's been sunny, rainy, windy, calm and generally mild. The Amaranka is in full blossom, the crab apple is just strating, and next door's pear tree is also looking lovely (or would if it hadn't been really badly pruned). Currently it's dark.
-1/2) Real Ale. London Pride in the Richmond Park.
43) This is week three of giving up.

Hobbies: Walking, birdwatching, tabletop games. Currently running a Federation Commander campaign for some friends. Heard nothing back about a trip to North Wales I was hoping to get together (thanks for the reminder - I must give Stu a call. Chuckle. It's like herding cats), so am thinking of setting off for Cambridge if the weather keeps improving. Birdwatching goes with the walking.
