Geeze, maybe I'm looking at our world through rose colored glasses, but I really don't see major differences between the Americans, Irish, English, Welsh and Scottish people. We all have our folbles and differences with certain issues, but
we are all so similar. We're family centered, good humored, intelligent, love life and travel and are curious. I've travelled and lived for many, many summer months in Ireland and have travelled to London and Wales a few times. I've never felt out of place or uncomfortable with these new experiences.
Think we just have to be positive and enoy our differences....they're no big deal to me and make life interesting.

grin. spent a lot of time in Devon as a lad. Brother lives in Truro, though - works in the hospital and surfs, though not usually at the same time. Great county, as long as you avoid Land's End (WHO allowed THAT to happen to the place!)

I'm not being that serious Kathy, just having a little fun. :-4 But there a lot of differences, nothing serious, I just never expected it.

I don't even own an American flag, but I have lots of garden flags:wah: The only people here in this country that have steering wheels on the right side are the postal carriers. I've always been curious myself as to why we drive on the wrong side of the road.
We drive on the wrong side of the road? We invented the first cars...I think it's fair to deduce that everyone else is wrong
I think there are major differences wherever you go, whether it be across the pond or the next city over. I could argue that people in Miami are dramatically different from people in Orlando.
I guess the real question is what defines a nationality? The government which oversees? Patriotism? Language? Sports?

We invented the first cars
Er no. It was either the French or the Germans, depending on whether you are referring to "automobile" (invented by Cugnot before the USA existed) or "petrol driven automobile". You invented Henry Ford.

??? So what's this "local time" thing in the corner of our posts?
Is it today or tomorrow? Will it be yesterday soon?
AUGH! Temporal anomaly!

Have a sister in NZ and she's 13 hours ahead of us over here, so I should have clicked you'd be 11 or so.
Right, off to play silly games with friends - y'all have a good time now (in drawliest Texan accent imaginable).
